Review: Dollywink Volume Mascara
Well it boosts that it’s long-lasting and waterproof, both of which are attributes that I can say are true. I never had any trouble with it fading during the day, and I even managed to have a shower without it removing. That said, it does remove easily with make-up remover or wipes so don’t worry.
The mascara wand is nothing extraordinary but I did like that it had an ultra fine tip on the brush so that you can use it on your lower lashes and the outer corners – good thinking!

Thank you to all of those who entered the poll – and for those of you who didn’t, well you still can!
As some of you who follow my twitter may know I was given a very small baggage allowance by my university when travelling to Paris – ONLY 14KG!! I swear my suitcase weighs about 4kg by itself…so I had to pack lightly!
Then when I got to Paris I was placed in a rather awkward accommodation situation…But you have to make the best of things, right?
So anyway, how about taking a peek at my room & some of the stuff I took?!

For those of you who remember my original post, you’ll notice that my ‘everyday’ collection (I alternate items, I don’t wear them all at once haha) has expanded.
I have more palettes, lipsticks/glosses etc. that I keep in another case (& my handbag) but these are my usual go-to items!!
I still don’t use foundation because I want to take care of my skin, but lately I have been thinking of going back to it (after 3 years – shock, horror!).
You’ll also notice that I was such a big fan of some of the items that I have continued to buy and use them. That means I really do love them, as I am constantly buying new products and chucking out old ones!
GETS!!
Some MODE-ish jewellery gets from H&M.
I also think they’ll work well with the current ‘Blogger’ trend that’s caught my eye lately.
Heart print tights & pleated ‘Carey’ skirt both from Primark.
Two simple pieces that look super cute together – everyone keeps complimenting me and asking about the tights. I tried to grab another couple of pairs recently but didn’t have any luck, guess I’ll have to take extra care of these.
Bag from Primark.
The scarf I have attached is VERY SPECIAL.
It’s a one-off design by my boyfriend’s sister!! She is currently studying textile design in Chelsea and entered this into a scarf design competition. She won and the prize was to have her scarf created and sold in the Oxford Street Topshop store in London – so keep an eye out my London Gals!
Not only that but you can buy it online – here
I found myself looking in MAC for a nude lipstick recently. After consulting one of their make-up artists about the colour that would suit me best I ended up with the new Lady Gaga shade, and a lip pencil from the new Quite Cute range. Which according to their shop staff is “like based on Japan, coz of anime and harajuku and stuff like that” – I will forgive him though as he was super sweet complimenting my accessories haha.
Review: Korean Bulk False Eyelashes
Review: Korean Bulk False Eyelashes
I thought this pair were a lot better than the previous ones. I will definitely wear these more in the future when I want a heavier eye with thicker lashes.
These lashes would be great for a ‘natural’ look but also with a more dramatic eye. I love that one pair of lashes can work for two different looks, hence why they are my favourites.
