I have followed Sugarpill since the brand started, and love their products. So when I won a $100 gift voucher from Shopify I already knew what I wanted.
have recently released a new set of brushes and I happened to be in need of some. All 4 of the brushes are Vegan friendly, and the set includes a lip brush, precision eyeliner brush, a tapered blending brush, and a large eyeshadow brush. They’re sold separately but I bought the set, as I needed them all, and you end up saving a bit of money too. The brushes are adorably branded and are great quality. Of course I couldn’t be without some make-up from Sugarpill, and the cold chemistry shades were calling me. I did consider the palette but knew I wouldn’t use the purple or black shades, but luckily for me they’re also sold separately – I choose Diamond Eyes (a bright, satin white) and Subterranean (a gorgeous, peacock green). I’ll be reviewing them soon, so keep an eye out!
I did also order another item for a blog giveaway (I wanted to share the love), but there was actually a mistake and it wasn’t put in with my package. I have to commend Sugarpill here though because I sent them an email as soon as I realised, and they replied the same day apologising and letting me know it had been sent out. Now that is excellent customer service, and the perfect way to deal with a problem. So you guys will get your giveaway soon!
You can purchase all of these items at Sugarpill
I’m a bit of a sucker for nude eye palettes, so I bought two last week…obviously.
I also bought the Collection Pressed Powder in Ivory, as it’s my go-to face powder.
Both the palettes are quite different to each other though so I don’t feel too bad about it.
They’re also two palettes that I had been wanting for a while, since hearing about their launch.
They also do a smokey, blue and purple eye palette in the same range, and all are the same price.
When I originally tweeted
about the palette it seemed like a lot of you were in love with it too.
I fell in love with it after seeing it in-store, and the campaign featuring Katie Holmes.
This isn’t a matte palette like Collection’s and features more pinks and golds.
The palette itself is also gorgeous, so I can’t wait to show you all!
As I was back in Norwich this weekend I decided to visit Primark.
It’s not great compared to the London stores but it’s usually a lot calmer.
Well I was wrong in thinking I’d have a nice relaxing browse this time round.
My haul is actually pretty small as I just couldn’t bare the crowds for long enough.
Still, I managed to pick up some cute and cuddly items to add to my A/W wardrobe.
Yes, I did buy another fluffy cardigan, although this one is longer than my other.
I also wanted one in this green as I adore the colour and how it looks with my hair.
I was considering the cheetah (leopard?) tights for quite a while but just went for them.
At least the crowds made me more impulsive, as I’m usually a dreadfully annoying shopper.
The rose tights were right next door to the others and just looked so cute and warm.
All 3 of these for under £20 isn’t bad either, is it? Good ol’ Primark.
I added a few more pieces to it recently because you can never have enough!
I loved the original orange tiger necklace but unfortunately I wasn’t quick enough to grab one.
Still, I think this version of the necklace is more me and is definitely just as gorgeous, right? Right!
As for the Sky Lab Bear Brooch, well that is the one piece of the AW13 Collection
that I wanted straightaway.
I always take so long to justify purchases, especially when it’s jewellery, so that’s a big deal for me.
The name necklace was something I’d been thinking about for a while – personalising one isn’t easy.
I wanted something other than my name on it, as I already have one
, and it had to be personal to me.
‘Bonjour’ made a lot of sense as I’m a big ol’ Francophile and everyone knows French is a classy language.
I’d also been lusting after the tortoiseshell and gold colourway after getting one done for a friend.
They’re the perfect additions to my Autumn wardrobe, I think.
I think it’s safe to say I went a little crazy.
French pharmacies are my version of a toy store.
Once I’m let loose in them, you’re not getting me back for a while.
This holiday I think I outdid myself, this is probably my biggest haul so far.
I bought products I’ve tried before and adore, and new ones that I’d heard good things about.
I’m sure you know all of these but just incase let me introduce you to the brands & products I bought:
The beauty of French pharmacies is that they have full collections.
It can be difficult to find French beauty products in the UK for a decent price.
For those who are interested in trying them out for themselves, I have included links.
It might seem like I’ve bought far too many products to try out, but trust me, you’ll be seeing reviews.
Shoes, Anatomicals: Sleep Balm & Eye Patches, OPI Matte Top Coat, Maybelline Baby Lips
A couple of Friday’s ago I won an ASOS voucher. I wasn’t after anything particular (that they had) so I saved it. I knew I needed a pair of plain black sneakers (for this & that) but knew they would be cheap. So after choosing those and seeing that I had a considerable amount left I headed to the beauty section. I am seriously impressed with the selection of products that ASOS carry on there! They have such a great variety and some really good deals.
Since I wasn’t spending my own money I bought things I’ve wanted to try for a while but wasn’t too sure about wasting money on. Anatomicals is a brand that I have seen a lot of and wanted to investigate further, especially the sleep balm – so I picked that up and paired it with some eye patches (for to an upcoming post). Then I headed to the nail varnish section. Honestly I have so many polishes it’s hard to find a shade I don’t already have by another brand, so I was looking for something different. That’s where OPI’s Matte Top Coat came into play. I am so excited to try this and play around with it, I feel like it’s Christmas already! I knew I had picked the right products as I was really looking forward to receiving them and was still happy when I ripped open the parcel – that’s always a good sign for me.
As for the Maybelline Baby Lips, they kind of tagged along in this post. I have been searching for them for a couple of weeks now and had no luck until last Friday. I managed to finally find all of them in Superdrug, but was actually left feeling a bit uninspired. I picked up ‘Cherry Me’ though as I knew it was a shade I would use often.
You can find links to all of the products under the photo at the top of the post.
