Photo Diary: It’s Christmas Time…

I know I’ve been a bit quiet the last
few weeks, and I do apologise.
The few weeks leading up to Christmas
were pretty hectic for me.
I spent most of my time working, whilst
trying to hold onto a social life.
Still it was Christmas, and everything
feels better at that time of the year.
I went home and spent the holiday with
my family, and managed to see some friends.
So it was spent mainly relaxing, eating
a lot and generally just having a good time.
I’ve now made the trip across to Wales
and will be relaxing until the New Year arrives.
That means I should have more time to
blog thankfully, so you should see more posts soon.

Wishlist: Staying Fashionably Festive

Fashionably Festive Wishlist
Sometimes we can all get a little too caught up in the Christmas spirit.
That doesn’t mean you need to look like a reject from a 90s Christmas special though.
This year the stores and brands are trying to out-do each other with their festive treats.
No I don’t mean mince pies and mulled wine, I mean sweaters, dresses and beauty products!
Every big brand has jumped on the Christmas bandwagon and are putting up their collections.
So I decided to pick 10 of my favourite ways to stay fashionable and festive this Christmas:

How do you stay fashionable and festive?
Do you love tacky Christmas jumpers, or do you prefer chic designer?

Event: Drop Dead Clothing Winter Collection

This post is embarrassingly late, compared to when I actually wanted to post it.
Anyway it’s here now and you can all bask in the glory of Drop Dead’s Winter collection.
I popped along to their Kingsly Street store in Soho with Laura to check it out.
Drop Dead Clothing was founded in 2005 by Bring Me The Horizon’s Oli Sykes.
The new collection sees a darker theme with a variety of materials and styles being used.
One of the models for the new collection is the gorgeous Alisa Ueno – one of my style icons.
The collection features stylish street wear with some cute-noir (have I coined a new phrase?) pieces.
By that I mean cute collared tops and shirts with dark themes and prints such as ‘die’ and ‘drop dead’.
The materials used are good quality and the sweaters look amazingly warm and comfy for Winter.
I was definitely won over and I can certainly see myself wearing more than a few of the pieces.
The Cat Zip Hoodie and Die Cropped Top are my favourite items though.
You can view and shop the new collection at Drop Dead.

Photo Diary: Hot Dogs, Street Art, W♥C & Polaroids

Looking at these photos makes me so happy. I’ve been having so much fun lately, and I’m so glad to share it on here. I went home to Norwich for a couple of days to sort some stuff out and see family. Whilst I was there I really started to feel like it really was going to be Christmas soon. I brought out my Nuxe travel set and fell in love with practically every item inside of it. I also brought out an old polish that felt slightly seasonal and got tons of compliments. I’ve been experimenting with layering shirts & sweaters at work, thanks to the recently chilling weather. I also popped along to the launch of the Drop Dead Winter Collection in their Soho store. That meant I got to bring a plus-one so Laura and I finally got to meet up – love her! My friend in Japan sent me some of the new W♥C items that have just come out. It really took me back to my time living in Tokyo and made me miss everyone so much. This weekend I also took a walk around Shoreditch and caught up with Anna over cake and coffee. I’ve really sucked at keeping in touch with friends lately (due to work), so I’m trying to remedy it. Also food. There was lots of food. Always with the food.

Styling Topman’s ‘His and Her’ Collection

Myself and the fiancé wearing a t-shirt and hoodie from Topman*

Recently I was contacted by Topman about a very cool new campaign they are working on.
The ‘His and Her’ Collection aims to promote Topman’s various unisex items – pretty cool, right?
I often go into Topman with the fiancé and fancy picking out a bunch of stuff for myself as well.
So you can guess that I was pretty hyped to take part in the campaign, as it’s right up my street!
Scrolling through the Topman website and picking a few pieces wasn’t easy either.
I thought I’d be able to find one or two pieces I might want, but ended up with a basket full.
Of course I had to narrow my selection down eventually and I went for these two amazing pieces.
I choose them a couple of sizes larger than I would usually, as I love the oversized ‘boyfriend’ look.
That also came in pretty handy when I decided to pop them on the fiancé.
Did you spot the fiancé expertly modelling in those last couple of photos?
I wanted to show how versatile Topman’s clothing really is, so I asked him to get involved too.
We had a bit of a laugh as we switched clothes (and the camera) halfway through the photo shoot.
I still think I look better (maybe I’m biased), but I’ll admit that they looked pretty good on him too.
This has definitely given me the kick I needed to buy more ‘guys’ clothing and work it myself.

Mini Haul: Warm & Stylish

As I was back in Norwich this weekend I decided to visit Primark.
It’s not great compared to the London stores but it’s usually a lot calmer.
Well I was wrong in thinking I’d have a nice relaxing browse this time round.
My haul is actually pretty small as I just couldn’t bare the crowds for long enough.
Still, I managed to pick up some cute and cuddly items to add to my A/W wardrobe.
Yes, I did buy another fluffy cardigan, although this one is longer than my other.
I also wanted one in this green as I adore the colour and how it looks with my hair.
I was considering the cheetah (leopard?) tights for quite a while but just went for them.
At least the crowds made me more impulsive, as I’m usually a dreadfully annoying shopper.
The rose tights were right next door to the others and just looked so cute and warm.
All 3 of these for under £20 isn’t bad either, is it? Good ol’ Primark.
