Photo Diary: Rekorderlig Winter Forest Bar

Some of you will know by now of my love for Sweden and Rekorderlig.
So you can imagine how excited I was to be invited to the Rekorderlig Winter Forest Bar.
Brick Lane’s Truman Brewery has been transformed into a Swedish Winter cider experience.
Walking in, you’re greeted by pine tress and a floor scattered with leaves – it genuinely feels like you’re in a forest.
The pop-up itself includes a bar, tapas style food, live music courtesy of a DJ, and an amazing atmosphere.
You’re welcomed with a Rekorderlig tasting palette, which includes 4 of their flavours and a tasty treat!
The bar serves all of the Rekorderlig flavours, and some specially made Rekorderlig cocktails, which are lovely.
You can also try out some Scandanavian food (see menus above) – the Elk sausage roll was my favourite.
I loved the whole event – so much so that I bought tickets so I could go twice!
It’s a great experience, and a wonderful retreat from the hectic streets of London.
The tasting palette alone is worth more than the £5 ticket price, so it’s also worth your money.
The cider, food and music were perfect and it has made me love Rekorderlig (& Sweden) even more!
The Rekorderlig Winter Forest Bar pop-up is only open until 6th November!
Head to 91 Brick Lane (Truman Brewery) after 8pm to grab tickets on the door.
Tickets are sold-out online!

Photo Diary: Another Catch Up

Photos taken from my Instagram: Bloomzy
I like to do these ‘catch up’ posts every now and again, especially now my Instagram widget is gone.
I know some people think ‘pfft Instagram’ but actually I document a lot of stuff on there, so it’s quite useful.
That’s why I like to use my photos in these kind of posts as it shows things that I haven’t shared on the blog.
As you can see I’ve been treating myself to a few of the new MUA items, snuggling with the fiances kitty, wining & dining as well as dressing up fancy for it, taking hot chocolatecoffee breaks, walking my dog, attending events, sharing priceless times with my bestie, and buying the limited edition ‘pink bubbly’ Vaseline for us both.
I will be attending a few events in the next few weeks and I can’t wait to share the photos with you!

Event: Fourth Avenue Jewellery Lounge Opening

The end of September saw the opening of a new jewellery store in Norwich and luckily I was invited.
For the event I was joined by the lovely Sian and we had a great time mingling and chatting with the staff.
The event was more like a private party, with a DJ, champagne, canapés and some gorgeous, wonderful people.
Fourth Avenue carries a select number of jewellery designers, all of whom fit the feel of the store perfectly.
Some of which include; Swarovski, Phantasya, ChloBo and Thomas Sabo. A couple of these brands were new to me (ChloBo & Phantasya) but I fell in love with their collections as well as old favourites Swarovski and Thomas Sabo. The store is as luxurious as it is glamorous, and the staff help to add to the atmosphere with their knowledge of the brands.
You can find Fourth Avenue on Twitter here, and their new website here.

Event: Aurum Jewellers byBiehl Launch

Last week I popped by Aurum Jewellers to take a look at the new byBiehl line.
Boasting a simple and stylish range of leather bracelets, necklaces earrings, rings and intricately design pods.
Much like a charm bracelet you choose the pods that appeal to your style/the moment and accessorise your necklace or bracelet. Matching earrings and rings make sure you can go all out with this gorgeous line.
The concept behind byBiehl is so simple, yet incredibly unique.
The idea of accessorising a leather bracelet with these pods really appeals to me.
I’m not a fan of ‘conventional’ charm bracelets but these suit my style perfectly, and logically they should fit anyone’s – it’s all about customising the item and making it yours. I instantly fell in love with the Buddha and Ying Yang pods, as well as the simple black & gold leather bracelet. They will definitely be on my Christmas Wishlist!
Aurum is a well known and loved independent jewellers in Norwich.
Selling contemporary designer jewellery, the items they carry are unique, classic and stylish.
With over 35 years experience, the family run jewellers is a firm favourite within Norwich Lanes.
You can buy the Danish brand in-store, which is exclusive to Aurum (in Norwich).
You can also buy it online here – use code: silvergenius for 5% of all online orders (until 21 Oct).

Event: The Magic Mirror

A few days ago I was invited to attend a special press preview at Chapelfield, Norwich.
The preview was for a new amazing technology that we may be seeing in stores near us all, very soon.
The ‘Magic Mirror‘ is a TV screen ‘mirror’ which uses augmented reality and movement sensors to allow customers to try out various outfits with a simple swipe of the hand. As you flick through the items of clothing, sizes can be altered as well as the position of the item on your body.
The experience was of course slightly surreal as I’d never come across this before.
However after the lovely people explained to me how it worked I started to have a bit of fun.
The idea behind the Magic Mirror is wonderful. Imagine being able to try on all the latest items without even picking anything off the shelves, or taking your clothes off. To a lazy person like me, that is very appealing.
I also noticed that it changed my opinion about items I would never have chosen myself.
The people behind the Magic Mirror are hoping to bring this to more shopping centres across the country.
You may even be seeing it in your favourite store soon – so keep an eye out.

Would you use it?
You can try it out for yourself at Chapelfield Norwich between 27-30 Sept.

Event: Boux Avenue Norwich Store Opening

On Tuesday I was invited to the press preview for the Boux Avenue store opening in Norwich, Chapelfield.
I had heard big things about the store, and as someone who finds it difficult to buy bigger sizes in cute/sexy designs
(one of their big selling points!), I jumped at the chance to attend.
This post is picture heavy, so I have put everything under a cut to make it easier for you.
Click ‘read more’ to view the rest of the post.

Bras on display, and the handy ‘size draws’ that mean you don’t have to rummage through the rack.
I love this idea! It makes finding your size so much easier, and it means tidy shelves – I hate clutter.

A selection of their lingerie – love the clashing colours!

Inside the fitting rooms, which offer plenty of space, big mirrors and adjustable lighting.
There’s also a telecom system so you don’t have to poke your head out to call for assistance!

Boux Avenue don’t just do underwear!
They also sell swimwear, pyjamas, accessories and beauty products.
Their pyjamas are adorable! I personally want the ones posted above.

My gift bag from the event, which included some of their hand cream, lip balm and some underwear.
We were also given a gift card, which was very sweet and helped towards the bras I wanted.
Finally, a lovely picture of the staff who helped out on the day.
Why did I take their picture? Look at their tights & shoes!! After speaking to them about their uniforms they told me that they’re give a LBD and are allowed to customise it how they wish. That really stood out to me as a great way to keep the brand classy but fun & personal – such a great idea.

I was completely won over by the store! Their staff were absolutely lovely, and really sweet.
I had a bra fitting and the lady who helped me explained everything about the process and their bras. I’ve had quite a few bra fittings in the past, but not like this. It was personal and thorough. I ended up buying the two bras I tried on. I personally think Theo is on to a winner here. He knows what women want when it comes to lingerie, and Boux Avenue is definitely it!
Check out Boux Avenue’s latest sale here.
