OOTD: A Whole New World

Dress: Topshop | Boots – Topshop | Necklace – Tatty Devine | Watch – Marc by Marc Jacobs
What do you do when you’re wandering
around London (Marylebone to be precise) and you find yourself on a
street with little to few cars, and no one around? You take outfit
photos of course! Every fashion blogger will know the joys of trying
to find the perfect location for those crucial outfit shots. So when
you come upon a little gem like V.A and I did, you know you have to
grasp the opportunity, or should I say DSLR, with both hands.
The weather has taken a turn for the
worse over the last few days, so I’ve brought out my trusty boots and
black tights combo again (I always get a little nostalgic for tights
during the Summer)
. I paired them with my Topshop map print shift
dress because I knew V.A and I would be doing a lot of eating (that’s
how we roll)
and I needed something comfortable (read: to hide my
food baby in)
. This dress is the perfect amount of baggy, one size up
and I’d be looking like a potato in a sack. The print is simple yet
intriguing. Basically, I love this dress. I paired it with my Tatty
Devine tiger necklace, because it just seemed to go with the whole
vibe.
We later headed to the South Beach
Summer Event, which I can’t wait to share with you all in an upcoming
post. Suffice to say the dress did it’s job well, because after a hot
dog and 2 milkshake cocktails, I was still feeling pretty classy.

Tatty Devine Lucky Dip Box & Sample Sale

Did you really think I could resist the lure of the Tatty Devine lucky dip boxes? Well I managed to resist the sunglasses box and only buy one small one this year. I never seem to have much luck with lucky dip boxes so I decided not to go overboard. I think I got some good items in my box this time round, but not all are for me really. Even though I love all of the items they’re not really pieces I would get much wear from. I have put the necklace on the Tatty Devine Swap Shop and the rest is on eBay. If you’re interested in Tatty Devine you can find all my sales here on eBay.
The Tatty Devine Sample Sale takes place Saturday 3rd May in their Brick Lane store.
Doors are open from 11am-6pm – I’d suggest getting there about an hour before to join the queue!

OOTD: East London Calling

Sweater – H&M | Trousers – H&M | Bag – Zara | Sandals – Primark | Watch – Marc by Marc Jacobs | Sunglasses* – Ray-Ban

Hanging around East London isn’t anything new for me, I know. So you’d think that I’d be getting a little bored of the area by now, right? It becomes all the more exciting though when I get to share it with someone else. That’s exactly what happened when I met V.A (of Chopstickpanorama) for lunch at Onthebab. We had been meaning to meet for a while so we decided to take advantage of our time. Of course that meant an impromptu photoshoot around Shoreditch in East London. As if it could mean anything else when two bloggers are involved.
It was so nice having another blogger there to take my photos. V.A is a wonderful photographer so she knew exactly what to do. I very much appreciated her guidance and telling me to “stand straight.” I learnt a lot of things from that lovely little lady – thank you V.A. I think I’ve caught the photography bug all over again!

OOTD: Floral Fancy

Jacket – Primark | Shirt – Primark | Shorts – Levi | Boots – Topshop | Necklace – Topshop

So the weather has been here and there lately but I’m staying optimistic. I’ve been wearing a lot less black, which as you all know is a big achievement for me. I’ve also been trying to take more photos outside, in surroundings other than a white wall. I’m enjoying finding new places to take my photos, I’m sure you spotted that though.
This outfit was supposed to be an easy solution to the mixed message the weather was sending me. The shirt and shorts were supposed to compliment the lovely warm sunshine we’ve been having. Whereas the tights and ‘leather’ jacket were a practical answer to the cold wind that won’t go away. I still liked the combo and that my hair matched the flowers on my shirt – it’s the little things.

Wish List: White’s Alright

White's Alright
White is a colour that I don’t let into my wardrobe easily. It’s far too pristine for someone who’d drop spaghetti sauce on it in an instant. – aka me. Still, this season I can’t help but find myself considering giving white a chance. If the likes of Ena Matsumoto and Alexa Chung are working it, why can’t I? So I chose some of my top white items out right now:
In fact I kind of want this outfit on me, right now! I can definitely see myself walking to Shoreditch on a sunny day, wearing it. Anyone fancy bringing Christmas to me a little earlier this year?

OOTD: Daisy, Daisy…

Shirt – Primark | Shorts* – Warehouse | Shoes* – Oasap | Necklace – Tatty Devine | Tote – Beyond Retro

You know when you buy an item and end up wearing it the day after? Yeah that, with this shirt. I didn’t have the patience to wait to wear it. Luckily the weather was amazing this weekend so I didn’t need to.
I realise I went a bit floral with the shirt and trainers, but hopefully it’s not ott. The shirt I picked up in Primark as I just loved the casual cut and the cute print. The trainers are from Oasap and just seemed like a fun way to wear comfy shoes. I hate being stuck in uncomfortable shoes, but I still want to look good. It’s a conundrum! I really wanted the pastel blue version but they’d sold out in my size. It wasn’t meant to be. Frida? Well she just seemed to fit in with the vibe of the whole outfit so I added her too.
Don’t forget you can get 20% off with code ‘bloomzy’ when you visit Oasap!

Photo Diary: Birthday Celebrations

As some of you may have noticed it was my birthday this week.
I know people say that your birthday gets less exciting the older you get, but I dislike that saying.
So I always end up using my birthday as an excuse to fill the whole week with things I love to do.
This week I went out to several different restaurants for meals, with the fiancé, and my friends.
The fiancé and I went for an amazing French dinner at La Sacre Coeur in Angel, Islington.
The food was traditionally French and very authentic, as well as being incredibly delicious.
My birthday is also the date of our anniversary (which makes it a lot easier to remember).
The next day I visited the Saatchi Gallery with Hanni, which I’ve been meaning to do for ages.
We had a lovely lunch on Kings road, which involved pasta and cake…although not altogether.
The following day a bunch of us went for food at Far Rockaway and then for drinks at The Book Club.
I received some amazing birthday presents of course, from some wonderful people, which I’m so grateful for.
Yes that is one of the new Tatty Devine horse brooches, a dino-sir card and a brand new iPhone 5S.
I’ve been uploading photos of them every now and again, because I’m just so giddy over everything.
Going out also means an excuse to dress up, so I’ve been uploading my outfits over the last few days too.
