Photo Diary: Rekorderlig Winter Forest Bar

Some of you will know by now of my love for Sweden and Rekorderlig.
So you can imagine how excited I was to be invited to the Rekorderlig Winter Forest Bar.
Brick Lane’s Truman Brewery has been transformed into a Swedish Winter cider experience.
Walking in, you’re greeted by pine tress and a floor scattered with leaves – it genuinely feels like you’re in a forest.
The pop-up itself includes a bar, tapas style food, live music courtesy of a DJ, and an amazing atmosphere.
You’re welcomed with a Rekorderlig tasting palette, which includes 4 of their flavours and a tasty treat!
The bar serves all of the Rekorderlig flavours, and some specially made Rekorderlig cocktails, which are lovely.
You can also try out some Scandanavian food (see menus above) – the Elk sausage roll was my favourite.
I loved the whole event – so much so that I bought tickets so I could go twice!
It’s a great experience, and a wonderful retreat from the hectic streets of London.
The tasting palette alone is worth more than the £5 ticket price, so it’s also worth your money.
The cider, food and music were perfect and it has made me love Rekorderlig (& Sweden) even more!
The Rekorderlig Winter Forest Bar pop-up is only open until 6th November!
Head to 91 Brick Lane (Truman Brewery) after 8pm to grab tickets on the door.
Tickets are sold-out online!

Photo Diary: Another Catch Up

Photos taken from my Instagram: Bloomzy
I like to do these ‘catch up’ posts every now and again, especially now my Instagram widget is gone.
I know some people think ‘pfft Instagram’ but actually I document a lot of stuff on there, so it’s quite useful.
That’s why I like to use my photos in these kind of posts as it shows things that I haven’t shared on the blog.
As you can see I’ve been treating myself to a few of the new MUA items, snuggling with the fiances kitty, wining & dining as well as dressing up fancy for it, taking hot chocolatecoffee breaks, walking my dog, attending events, sharing priceless times with my bestie, and buying the limited edition ‘pink bubbly’ Vaseline for us both.
I will be attending a few events in the next few weeks and I can’t wait to share the photos with you!

Photo Diary: ASOS & Azealia Banks

Azealia Banks UK Tour – The Waterfront, Norwich

You probably remember the ASOS giveaway I hosted recently, right?
Well the prize was 2 pairs of tickets to see Azealia Banks on her UK tour in Norwich.
ASOS were very kind and even gave me and a friend a pair of tickets also, so of course we went!
I decided to get out one of my newest shirts from Oasap and paired it with some high waisted shorts.
As Azealia herself is one classy lady, everyone was equally as fashion fabulous, although no one could have topped the outfits Azealia wore on stage – my favourite being a ‘space-age’ number with an LED bra-let that lit up.
Zebra Katz & REDDD FOXXX were the perfect choice for the support act, and got the crowd in the mood.
As for Azealia, well she knows how to work a crowd and everyone knew the songs so it was a great atmosphere.
I had a great time, and it was made even better by my bestie coming along. I’d definitely do it again.
You can buy Azealia’s ‘1991 EP’ here.
You can also view some of the videos I took here.

Event: Fourth Avenue Jewellery Lounge Opening

The end of September saw the opening of a new jewellery store in Norwich and luckily I was invited.
For the event I was joined by the lovely Sian and we had a great time mingling and chatting with the staff.
The event was more like a private party, with a DJ, champagne, canapés and some gorgeous, wonderful people.
Fourth Avenue carries a select number of jewellery designers, all of whom fit the feel of the store perfectly.
Some of which include; Swarovski, Phantasya, ChloBo and Thomas Sabo. A couple of these brands were new to me (ChloBo & Phantasya) but I fell in love with their collections as well as old favourites Swarovski and Thomas Sabo. The store is as luxurious as it is glamorous, and the staff help to add to the atmosphere with their knowledge of the brands.
You can find Fourth Avenue on Twitter here, and their new website here.

I’m a pretty big foodie, if you hadn’t already guessed, so I wanted to post a bit about food in London.
There are some amazing places to eat and pick up food, and these are just a few of the places I visited on my last trip.
Kind of like a Where to Eat in London – I have included the name, type of restaurant/cafe/store, the location of the place I visited, and a link to their website, as the bigger places have more than one location.

I had to split this series into what is now 3 posts (you can find the series here) as my love for food and discovering new bars, restaurants etc. continues to blossom. This time round all of the restaurants, apart from Busaba (I’ve now been to two of their locations – both wonderful) are all one offs – meaning they can’t be found in multiple locations in London. If you’re curious about what I ate feel free to ask but I didn’t write it as I think it’s self explanatory from most of the photos.

I wouldn’t have included these places if I didn’t love and recommend them.
So if you have the chance you should definitely check them out!

I know that most people aren’t fans of Instagram posts so I do apologise.
I’ve been so busy the past week that I haven’t had any time to sit down and write, even though I have a ton of ideas and posts that I want to get up and show you all. Alas, for now they shall remain in my head.
I went to London this week and whilst I was only there for a couple of days I had a nice time.
I shared some photos whilst I was there and I included a couple above, as well as some from the last few weeks.
I guess really that I just wanted to keep you all updated (as much as I could) and let you know that I haven’t forgotten about the blog. As you can see I’ve not changed much, nor has my obsession with food and pretty things.
My unofficial hiatus won’t last too long though – I promise to be back asap!

Photo Diary: Holiday in Provence 1

Photos around Provence, South of France

Here is the first of my photo diaries from my recent holiday in Provence, in the South of France.
I love France and Provence is somewhere I have visited a couple of times for it’s weather, scenery and good food.
So I wanted to show a little bit of Provence in the few photos I included this time.
We have; cakes, animals, coffee, architecture and…a pink bike, of course.
The cakes just looked so inviting, and I’m a big fan of French decaffeinated espressos because I can’t have caffeine and they’re still rich with flavour, compared to British decafe coffee anyway. The cute kitty was the ‘village cat’ that wandered around – I took that photo when we were sat having dinner. As for the dog, I don’t know who it belonged to as it was in a different town but he was really friendly – I was taking an outfit photo when he came over and photobombed me. It’s safe to say I forgave him. Hmm…I think the rest is self explanatory, except for the pink bicycle, which was just a prop to advertise for a nearby Pizzeria.
I haven’t done a photo diary for a little while, so I hope you still enjoy them!
