New Hair!!

Say hello to the new me!
Yes, after 6 months of avoiding the hairdresser, I finally had my hair cut.
For a while I had wanted to grow my hair out, after looking at an old photo. Thanks for that nostalgia.
Well after doing that for a while I remembered how thin my hair looked long and fancied short hair again.
So yesterday I made my way to Bleach in Dalston – the same salon that put the lovely red in my hair (thanks Scarlett!).
If you follow hair trends then you should have have most probably heard of Bleach. Their main salon is based in Dalston (just down the road from me – lucky!) and they also have one in Topshop Oxford Circus. They’re known their colouring (see their amazing LookBook here) but they’re also not too bad with a pair of scissors. Being in Bleach is like watching artists at work. The hair creations that go on in that salon are amazing. I always end up wanting a new hair colour each time I go as I see other fancy people walking out with theirs. When I went yesterday, this lovely lady was having her hair dyed blue and it was gorgeous! Anyway, back to my hair. Forgotten what it looked like before? It was a slightly longer version of this.
I wanted a long bob, to make my hair look a bit thicker and so I could have fun styling it.
I usually go into a salon with an idea of what I want but know it won’t usually happen.
Well this time the wonderful Loren cut & styled my hair for me, and she did an amazing job.
My apologies for the poor quality photos but I was feeling a bit blergh after getting back, so I used my iPhone.
Anyway, here’s a derpy gif of my new hair to amuse you into forgetting how bad the photos really are.

Oasap Haul

My most recent Oasap order arrived this weekend.
I went on a bit of a mini accessories binge when I saw their new items.
I’d also had their baggy cat face sweater on my wishlist for a while so I popped that on my order too.
I was pretty excited to receive this order, and luckily I only had to wait just over a week.
The shipping from Oasap is usually pretty good and my orders tend to arrive in about 10 days.
Apparently this is also the exact amount of time it takes for me to forget what I ordered…everytime. At this point I’d like to give a shout-out to Sami who inspired me to order the watch, as she has a similar one that I fell in love with recently!
I haven’t had the chance to wear the sweater yet, but I did try on the jewellery and watch.
Unfortunately the watch and bracelet are slightly too big for me, a common problem I have.
I could get some of the links removed in the watch, but the bracelet is a hard bangle so I can’t do much to it.
Online shopping is always a gamble anyway, so I wasn’t upset – plus the necklace looks amazing on!
You win some, you lose some, I guess.
Don’t forget to visit Oasap and use discount code: ‘bloomzy’ for 35% off!

My New Tatty Devine, Frida Kahlo Necklace!

The moment the new large Frida was added to the Tatty Devine classic collection, I knew it had to be mine. I was raving about it on Twitter for days, and was constantly bugging the lovely (and patient) Tatty Devine staff as to when it would be in their Brick Lane store – my local store. Finally, on Friday, they tweeted me with some very exciting news!
So on my usual Sunday stroll down Brick Lane, I knew where my first stop would be.
I had a lovely chat with Charlotte, who knew exactly why I was there, before I tried Frida on.
It was love at first sight! Everything about the necklace was just as I had hoped for.
I was a little afraid it would be too big for me (as I’m such a shorty), but it was perfectly sized.
The original smaller necklace was also on leather, but was thinner and only featured two adornments.
Whereas this new larger version is thicker and has plenty of gems, flowers and sparkles.
I am so in love with this necklace, Tatty Devine have outdone themselves…as usual!
I was a bit wary of the price tag, but this is completely worth it, as are all their statement pieces.
This isn’t just a piece of jewellery, this is an investment and the latest addition to my ever growing Tatty Devine collection.
You can purchase your own Frida here, or browse the new Classic Collection here.

Recycle Clothes for Money

Make money from your unwanted clothes
Ever fancied making a bit of money out of old clothes, but you’re not a fan of selling online?
Well luckily for you one internet site has come to the rescue and has just the solution!
Now you can recycle your clothes for money with the scheme run by Music Magpie.
The site is already well known for buying old games, dvds and cds etc. and now they have come up with a new feature that allows people to send in their old unwanted clothing, for money. They accept clothing from well known brands such as Topshop, All Saints, Vivienne Westwood and many many more. Has that old ball gown been lying dormant in your wardrobe? Don’t fancy taking up space with that puffa jacket now the weather is improving? Well you’re in luck because Music Magpie also take a wide variety of garments, so don’t worry, they have you covered. They also take maternity and vintage items, as long as it’s from one of the brands listed.
The process itself is very simple, all you have to do is:
1. Go to Music Magpie
2. Enter the brand and garment
3. Choose whether it is womens/men
4. Select the size, colour, material etc.
5. You are quoted a price for your clothing
6. If you’re happy, send them off (postage is free), and you receive your money (bank transfer/cheque)!
There are also a few added extras, such as being able to exchange your clothing for an e-voucher or to donate the money you made to charity – it’s entirely up to you! The service is fast & reliable, and saves you having to pay fees to sell online. It also means you can sit back, relax and sell your clothes with a cup of tea in hand. It’s that easy.

Event: Ax Paris Circus

AX Circus Event held by Ax Paris
Every now and then an event makes a mark on the blogging community.
Last week’s Ax Paris Circus event was one of these events.
I received my invite just before I went away on holiday to France.
Very clever marketing indeed – it meant I had about 2-3 weeks to get excited.
I wasn’t quite sure what to expect but the buzz in the blogging community kept everyone talking.
I knew it was held at Covent Garden’s Circus so it would be featuring acts of a similar nature.
I’m not really a fan of circus-y acts so I wasn’t too excited but I have to say that it won me over.
The performances were energetic, and I loved the gorgeous lady who wowed us all with her fire eating.
It was the guy who managed to swing round on a hoop at about 100mph that impressed me the most though.
There was an open bar and the yummy cocktails seemed to be endless.
I only drank 1, but I appreciated the lovely hostesses who kept offering me more.
The canapés are also worth a mention as they were very different and extremely yummy.
I didn’t eat or drink much as I was still a little under the weather, but the quality was not lost on me.
Overall I had an amazing night, but the real highlight was meeting so many lovely bloggers!
It really brought every one together, and it was so nice being able to mingle & chat.
Thank you Etail & Ax Paris!

My New Babies from Barratts!

I’m sure I’ve mentioned before on here how I don’t usually go crazy for shoes.
However that doesn’t mean I can’t appreciate a good pair when I see them.
That’s exactly what happened when I saw these babies on the Barratts website.
I’ve had shoes sent to me before from Barratts, and I was so happy with them.
These are no different, although I may possibly have fallen in love with them a little bit.
I’ve been looking for a pair of statement trainers, and I knew plain ol’ Converse etc wouldn’t do.
That’s not to say I don’t like them, they just don’t stand out to me and I wanted something that stood out.
These pretty much have everything I love on a trainer; flatform, hi-top, gold gold gold – check!
They also come in black, but I managed to resist, although I think I want both pairs now.
These are the perfect trainer for me and they look even better in person than online.
Look out for some OOTD posts featuring them soon!
You can browse the Barratts website here, or purchase these here.

Photo Diary: Tatty Devine Brick Lane Tour

Tatty Devine’s Brick Lane Store, London

A few weeks ago I visited the Tatty Devine store on Brick Lane for a workshop.
If you missed the post earlier this week, and were curious as to what I made, you can find it here.
Anyway, I couldn’t resist taking some photos of their new collection, and some old favourites, whilst I was there.
I remember when I first visited the store, and it’s safe to say it has changed a lot!
The Brick Lane store is now spacious, inviting, and filled from floor to ceiling with goodies.
When I took the photos I wasn’t sure how they would turn out and if I would even use them.
Well I love how the collection looks so much that I wanted to share the photos with you.
I guess that the pieces don’t really need an amazing photographer as they’re so gorgeous.
They really speak for themselves, right?
My favourite pieces are the Lotus Flower Celebration & Sunrise Necklaces.
What pieces stand out for you?
