OOTD: Catch-up

OOTD shots from my Instagram: bloomzy

Lately I don’t have much time to take full on OOTD shots.
So when I do get the chance I try to post a few on my Instagram.
Unfortunately Instagram doesn’t give me as much freedom when taking photos.
That’s mainly due to size restrictions, lighting etc. but I try to make do with what I have.
In the end I think the photos always turn out ok, and it’s a nice way to share them with everyone.
Recently I’ve been keeping warm as it’s been super cold, and of course we’ve had snow.
I love the current ‘Typo T-shirt’ trend so I’ve been pulling out some of my fave pieces from my wardrobe.
I’ve also been making the most of the cold weather by wrapping up in mixed fabric jumpers and cosy cardigans.
My favourite jumper right now is from Whistles (bottom right).
My favourite t-shirt, Topshop (middle left).
Thank for all your feedback in my giveaway post.
It seems that you do love my OOTD posts, so I promise to keep that in mind!

Emoda x Miranda Kerr Collaboration

Shots from Emoda’s AW2012 collaboration with Miranda Kerr
Even though I don’t have regular access to Japanese brands anymore, I’m still a fan.
In particular I love MuruaEmoda, both ‘Mode‘ brands are very reminiscent of Western brands.
Even though this may be the case I still find that they offer items in a style that you just can’t find in the UK.
Recently Emoda became the first Japanese brand to sign Miranda Kerr to their label.
Emoda felt that she embodied the ideology of the brand – ‘high sense, yet real clothes’.
I was really interested to see a Western model I like, working with a Japanese brand that I love.
I personally think she is the perfect fit for the brand and I love what they’ve done with their AW concept.
It’s a pretty big deal for her to work with Emoda and they’re delighted to have her as their A/W2012 visual model.
I am hoping that this will help shed more light on the brand, in countries outside of Japan.
Do I like the collection? – of course I do, I wouldn’t be blogging about it if I didn’t!
I love the items and the styling, not to mention the gorgeous new accessories in the AW2012 collection.
The pricing of Emoda’s items may seem high but this reflects the quality of the product you receive.
I have a few items from the brand and I am impressed. Emoda knows how to bring out items to compliment.
I couldn’t feature everything I loved but I hope I’ve given you enough info to tempt you.
Does any of the Emoda x Miranda Kerr AW2012 collection take your fancy?
For those who aren’t in Japan, you can purchase items from the A/W2012 collection on their Global store, here.

Regal Rose Darkly Decadent Collection

A selection of items from Regal Rose’s Darkly Decadent Collection

Regal Rose are back with a new hotly anticipated collection, and they haven’t let fans down.
The ‘Darkly Decadent‘ collection mainly draws inspiration from this season’s Baroque and Gothic trends.
That doesn’t mean the items lack any originality though – as always Regal Rose have managed to create beautifully crafted, unique pieces that would easily be the highlight of anyone’s jewellery box…or outfit!
I picked my favourite pieces in the above image, but it’s safe to say I’d happily buy most of the collection.
As a big fan of black & gold, as well as the Baroque trend, these are items I could work into one of my outfits.
If you fancy adding a little goth-glam to your party look this season, or just to your everyday outfits, look no further.

I was hoping to have this post up last Thursday, which was the release date of this collection.
Unfortunately things got in the way, but it’s here now and just as amazing as it would have been then.
I just hope you haven’t seen too many similar posts, because I’m sure that I’m not the only one in love with this.

Seasonal Party Looks at Coast

My choice of items from Coast, for the perfect seasonal party look
Coast is already a well established brand in the UK.
It’s highly likely you have a store/outlet in your hometown, and have probably visited one.
They offer a large selection of items ranging from chic modern designs to classic and romantic.
Their focus is on luxurious clothing, with an emphasis on attention to detail, for those special occasions.
Even though most of us don’t want to start thinking about seasonal parties, they will be upon us soon.
I personally love parties at this time of year and I always treat myself to a nice outfit…or two, and this season I have my eye on the dress above from Coast – it’s feminine, flattering and glamorous. When I go elegant, I like to go all the way, and luckily Coast has a large selection of accessories to compliment their items of clothing.
I choose cream, sparkles and gold as the base for my outfit – for a classic Hollywood glam look.
What would your perfect party look be based on?
If you do decide to visit Coast this season, don’t forget to ask one of their lovely assistants for a consultation.
They are ready to help advise you on what look to choose and how to accessorise it, along with selected stores that also offer in-store style advisors for the perfect personal shopper experience.
You can purchase a selection of evening dresses online from Coast.

Style: Playing with Fashion

(Top: Oasap*, High Waisted Shorts: eBay, Creepers: Oasap* Hat: Topshop)

(Top: Oasap*, Skirt: H&M, Wedges: Internacionale, Handbag: Off Brand)

Recently I received a couple of new tops and straight away I started thinking about how to coordinate them.
I love seeing a selection of items laid out to create an outfit, so I though I might try and give it a go myself.
I decided to create 2 very simple but fashionable looks – one is more of a rock look, the other more feminine.
Look #1
Lately I love pairing baggy stylish t-shirts with my rugged vintage high waist shorts.
I decided to go for a fashionably grunge (in the loosest sense) look, using my creepers and mini roller hat.
This just seems like a very casual and easy look to re-create, but still individual and memorable.
I’d accessorise with: a chunky gold chain and plenty of rings!
Look #2
I love monochrome looks, so this was my inspiration for this outfit.
Keeping in with this seasons leather trend, I paired a simple silk top with a pleated faux leather skirt.
To top it off I picked my favourite wedges and a white & gold quilted handbag; cute and feminine.
I’d accessorise with: a delicate necklace & bracelet, and big earrings!
I could easily have seen myself wearing either of these outfits to London fashion week.
Would they have garnered attention? I don’t know, but I do know that I’d have felt fabulous!

Topshop Mini Haul – Keeping it British

A few purchases from Topshop that I made recently

Yesterday I was lucky enough to receive a giftcard for Topshop, and guess what?
Yep, I pretty much spent it within an hour of being given it – shame on me! Actually there have been a few things I’ve wanted to purchase from Topshop recently, but managed to resist. You can imagine that this giftcard was a very welcome addition to my purse…even if it didn’t stay there for too long.
So what did I buy?
I’ve had my eye on the Jersey Skirt for a few weeks, after trying it on and posting this photo on Instagram.
It’s a perfectly simple yet essential addition to my wardrobe this A/W, and I’m sure I’ll have fun coordinating it.
The pork pie hat is a welcome addition to my hat collection, and it feels quite British – don’t you think?
As for the studded phone case…well I’m not even sure if it will fit my iPhone 4 but I liked the look of it and…studs!!
Have you treated yourself/been treated recently?

Style: 1 Skirt 4 Ways

As soon as I pick up a potential clothing purchase I automatically start contemplating outfits.
A few days ago I bought a new waterfall skirt (it sounds dreamier than dip-hem), and that’s what I did.
It’s no wonder I’m such a fan of things like Polyvore and putting together coordinates in photoshop.
Therefore today’s post is a little bit of fun for me and hopefully helpful to a few people also.
I put together 4 separate outfits, all using the same skirt as the central piece.
My style varies a lot between trends and fashion ‘labels’ and I think that’s reflected here.
I managed to add a few Baroque pieces, and the outfits range from casual to slightly more formal.
I also wanted to think a little bit about accessories, make-up and nails – as I know I dress those to match.
I think the outfits themselves though are pretty self-explanatory so I won’t ramble on too much.
The skirt featured is from Topshop, and the items included are from various other High Street stores.
Please comment if you’d like to know where any of the items are from.
‘1 ___ 4 Ways’ is something I’d like to continue with.
Would you guys like to see more of this kind of post?
