I’m a pretty big foodie, if you hadn’t already guessed, so I wanted to post a bit about food in London.
There are some amazing places to eat and pick up food, and these are just a few of the places I visited on my last trip.
Kind of like a Where to Eat in London – I have included the name, type of restaurant/cafe/store, the location of the place I visited, and a link to their website, as the bigger places have more than one location.
I had to split this series into two (maybe three) posts as I just had too many places and photos I wanted to feature.
If you’re curious about what I ate feel free to ask but I didn’t write it as I think it’s self explanatory from the photos.
I wouldn’t have included these places if I didn’t love and recommend them.
So if you have the chance you should definitely check them out!

OOTD: London Edition

Left – Blazer: H&M | T-shirt & Shorts: Topshop | Shoes: Asos | Necklace: Topshop
Right – Blazer: H&M | Top: Zara | Skinny Jeans: Primark | Shoes: Asos | Necklace: Topshop

Here are a couple of my outfits from my recent London trip. I actually had about 4 outfits for the trip, but I was so busy I didn’t manage to get photos of them all. I could have drawn these out and made two separate posts, but I figured one was enough.
At the moment I really love pairing basics together with cute accessories. So I decided on a couple of simple outfits as I wasn’t sure what the weather would be like. As it turned out the weather was a bit chilly for the first couple of days, and then it got pretty hot. I also knew that I would be doing a lot of walking, so I didn’t want anything too awkward.

I think I’ve got enough wear out of my Topshop necklace already! I’m so glad I bought it – I love it so much. I wear it as often as I can. I feel a little bad for all my other necklaces, but they’ll get their turn soon enough.

Review: Glossybox 1 Year Anniversary Box

This month saw Glossybox have their 1 year anniversary…birthday?
I’m not sure which is more fitting, but they celebrated anyway and sent out a ‘special’ box.
I received:
+ Lolita Lempicka – Eau de Parfum & Si Lolita
+ Glossybox Mirror & Balloon
What were my thoughts on the box?
Honestly I was underwhelmed. I’m sorry to say it.
I thought this was supposed to be a celebratory box, but it just seemed like any other.
I suppose the balloon and mirror added a little something extra, but it didn’t win me over.
I just bought myself a new mirror, which wasn’t cheap, so I have no use for this one unfortunately.
I always love perfume samples, so I was happy to receive a couple in this box.
I also liked the addition of the cucumber facial mask and hair treatment oil.
I already have a full bottle of Argan Oil which will easily last me, but it’s difficult to take when I travel.
So that was very welcome.
As for the eyelashes, they’re not my style, but if they’re yours I’m selling them here.
And finally another shower gel?! There has been a shower gel in the last 3 boxes I’ve received – last month’s box even included a full size one. I’m not sure if the Glossybox team are worried about our hygiene now it’s getting hotter but really? Overall I was unimpressed, and felt that the 3 items I liked weren’t worth the money. As I’m moving back home now and also need to save up for the future I have cancelled my subscription.

However, if you would like to sign up to Glossybox, you can do so here.
Glossybox has also just hit the States! Sign up here.

UPDATE 1
After reading some of the comments on the Glossybox Facebook page about the perfume samples (some people were claiming that theirs were only half full) I decided to double check mine. Well mine weren’t half full…they’re only 1/3rd full!! Utterly ridiculous and very annoying. For samples that I could have received free from a perfume counter, I would at least expect them to be full in a box that I am paying good money for.
UPDATE 2
I want to thank Glossybox for replying to my email about my perfume problem.
They were kind enough to explain the situation to me:
“These are 08.ml samples in a 2.0ml container…these are the full samples we were provided.
It was due to them being that way that we provided two”

I understand Glossybox’s situation here, and I think it’s nice that they included two because they weren’t completely full. However I think the company were bad to send samples that are less full than those that you would receive free from a perfume counter, and I think Glossybox should not have included them – these are not the kind of samples I would expect to receive in a beauty box that includes ‘luxury product miniatures‘.

Bloomzy has a domain name now!

www.bloomzy.co.uk

I realised that I never made an official announcement on the blog about my new domain name.
Well here it is! I have been putting a lot of effort and work into the blog lately, and hopefully it shows.
I’ve also been collaborating etc. with a few companies and so I thought it was time to snazz things up a bit.

I had been contemplating getting a domain name for the blog for a little while.
Hopefully this will make it look more professional, but also easier for my readers to find.
You probably remember how I couldn’t get ‘bloomzy’ on blogger, which was just confusing.

So please change your bookmarks!

I have a bit of a fetish…

(White polka dot tights & Pink gradient tights: eBay)

As some of my more frequent readers may have noticed, I have a bit of a tight fetish.
More specifically, patterned tights. I have a whole ton of them, in various patterns and colours.
The majority of my patterned tights though are in black, so I wanted something a little different.
I decided to look on eBay as there are some amazing shops out there.
I finally settled on one that had a large selection of black, white and multicoloured tights.
I went for some white polka dot ones (£1.32 here) and a pink gradient pair (£1.90 here).
Both run a bit small, so if you’re over 5’3 (my height), once again I’m afraid these aren’t for you.
The fabric is a bit thin but they seem pretty durable so far but it’s always best to be gentle with tights anyway.
For the price, they’re pretty good quality. I’m especially happy with the white polka dot pair!
The gradient pair are nice, but not exactly what I’d wanted. No complaints here though.
Have you grabbed any bargains lately on eBay?

Wishlist: Beauty Edition

Beauty Wishlist

I don’t often do beauty item wishlists, probably because I just tend to buy the item I want.
Lately though there have been quite a few items I want to grab so I thought I would make one.
I guess this is also kind of a reminder for me, as I always forget what I’ve gone out to buy/look for.
What’s on my wishlist?
I didn’t think my list would come to much £, but after writing it all up well…
The sleep balm, lip plumping gloss (had before & loved it), stylefile, Essie polish and the perfume (running out) are all musts. The other items I guess are just ‘wants’, not that there’s anything wrong with that! I’m still a bit dubious about the Maybellie ‘Popsticks’ though. I’m not a fan of the idea and the texture of the lipstick, but when I swatched the pigment was lovely. However I’ve seen some not so nice reviews on these so we’ll see.
I’m gonna hunt some of these down whilst I’m in London!
