Review: Panache Lingerie

Recently I was contacted to review a bra for British lingerie brand Panache.
Another brand offering small sizes to those for larger women, starting from AA-KK.
However their speciality is lingerie aimed at D+ sizes, and this is where myself and a few other bloggers stepped in to review one of their lovely pieces. I choose the Ariza Balconette Bra.
Now to be honest with you, I wasn’t too sure why I choose the Ariza Balconette to begin with.
I’m not a fan of this type of bra (I also own another from a high-end department store that is not so comfortable), nor am I really a fan of orange and purple together. I had convinced myself I would dislike it straight away.
HOWEVER when the bra arrived I was pleasantly surprised. The colours looked much better and brighter in person, and the material felt very soft. I was also surprised at how comfortable the bra is. Like I said I’m not a fan of balconettes due to them being a bit uncomfortable and not offering much support – but this one is amazing. It basically feels like I’m wearing invisible support. It also fit perfectly, which I was surprised about as my size tends to vary in different stores.
And finally, I love how this bra looks on me, and my breasts!
I was even tempted to take a photo in it, that’s how much I love it.
However I decided not to scare you all half to death so early in the morning with photos of my bosom.
You’ll just have to take my word for it. This bra is comfortable, pretty and offers plenty of support.

Sugarpill Cosmetics

Today I want to introduce my new affiliate, the American brand Sugarpill Cosmetics.
I’ve been a fan of the brand since their small beginnings, which have now lead to a very big hype.
I remember following the founder Amy (Shrinkle) on her blog and eBay, where she first started selling her creations. The brand itself was only born though in 2010 when Amy decided to take more control, and things expanded from there.
If you’ve followed IMATS in the last couple of years and managed to miss Sugarpill…shame on you!
Sugarpill sell amazingly pigmented pressed and loose shadows (in matte & glitter) along with crazy dramatic false lashes.
I’m a bit of a wimp when it comes to bright shadows, but I am absolutely in love with their loose shadows!
So even if you’re not a fan of bright, dramatic eye make-up there is a colour and shadow for everyone.
As a long time fan, I’m very happy to be a part of the Sugarpill affiliate team.
You can find their banner (featuring the gorgeous Amelia Arsenic) on the sidebar.

Review: Murine Bright & Moist Eye Drops

Murine Bright & Moist Eye Drops*

Since the release of eye drops that claim to ‘brighten’ or ‘whiten’ your eyes, I’ve been quite intrigued.
As I suffer from allergies most of the year my eyes can sometimes be dry, itchy and slightly red.
So you can see why I might be interested in these.
Murine’s eye drops are made from a special liquid gel, which include moisturisers and a brightener.
They aim to refresh and soothe the eyes, whilst adding a bit of a sparkle.
I’ve used several eye drops from different brands, so my review will be based on comparing Murine’s drops to my previous experience and also by looking at what the drops claim to do.
Top: Before drops
Bottom: After drops

Pros:
+ Soothing
+ Refreshing
+ Kept my eyes hydrated
+ Slight brightening of my eyes
Cons:
– No drastic brightening of my eyes
– The gel felt a bit odd to start with
– Can’t be used with contact lenses
Notes:
I wasn’t really expecting anything amazing with these, so the results didn’t really upset me.
I loved the refreshing effect of the drops, they definitely soothed my eyes when they were dry/itchy. I only applied the drops (2 in each eye) once for a whole day (you can apply them up to 4 times a day), which is a first out of all the brands I have previously used. However I didn’t find the whitening effect to be that…well…effective. Even so, I did notice that the usual red-ness I sometimes suffer from (due to allergies) was slightly less noticeable.
For the price, and the refreshing/soothing effect alone, I would buy these.
If it was purely for the whitening/brightening effect, I’d probably try something else.
You can buy Murine Bright & Moist 15ml Eye Drops at Boots, for £4.49
You can also purchase it online, here.

I’m a pretty big foodie, if you hadn’t already guessed, so I wanted to post a bit about food in London.
There are some amazing places to eat and pick up food, and these are just a few of the places I visited on my last trip.
Kind of like a Where to Eat in London – I have included the name, type of restaurant/cafe/store, the location of the place I visited, and a link to their website, as the bigger places have more than one location.

I had to split this series into two posts (you can find the first one here) as I just had too many places and photos I wanted to feature – even then I didn’t get to include them all. If you’re curious about what I ate feel free to ask but I didn’t write it as I think it’s self explanatory from most of the photos.

I wouldn’t have included these places if I didn’t love and recommend them.
So if you have the chance you should definitely check them out!

OOTD: Givenchy-Inspired part deux

(Dress: Sheinside, Tights: ALTA Shinjuku, Wedges: Internacionale, Necklace: Oasap)

Here is the second, and final (for now!) part of my Givenchy-Inspired pieces (part one here).
This dress is from the amazing Sheinside who carry a selection of on-trend and designer inspired pieces.
I wore this out yesterday just for a casual coffee-shopping afternoon, and then stopping for a meal in the evening.
I can’t express how much I love this dress. I felt so effortlessly cool and on-trend whilst wearing it.
I also love how the print of the dress makes enough of a statement that I didn’t need to over accessorize.
Even so I did add a bold necklace (from Oasap) and some patterned tights because I felt I could still carry them off. I wish I could just sit around in this dress all day – it’s one of the rare pieces in my wardrobe that just makes me smile whenever I look at it. So expect to see more of it in the future!
You can shop for the dress and browse Sheinside here.

I’m supporting: How to wear a scarf – with pride!

Next’s official Team GB and Paralympics GB Supporters’ Scarf*

As a member of the Next blogger network I was recently offered the chance to work on a post about Next’s new line of scarves. These are special scarves that have been released this Summer to celebrate and show support for London 2012!
All profits from the sale of the scarves will be donated to the British Olympic Association – helping British Olympic and Paralympic athletes deliver their best performance at London 2012.
I was asked to style the scarf in my own way, and show you guys how I would wear it.
Admittedly, I’m a bit boring when it comes to scarves. I love them to pieces,  but I do tend to wear them in pretty generic ways. Even so, I tried my best and came up with a few ways to style it. However once I’d put it on and played around with it, I realised that it wasn’t all that bad. My favourite way to wear it is probably tied around the neck, or as a headscarf.
My parents and sister will be off to the Olympics (without me, boohoo) so I have kindly donated the scarf to my mum as she really liked it. That way she can show her support, and look classy!
As you can see, I also had a few guest models for this post. I wanted to show everyone just how versatile the scarf is.
It may not suit your style, but maybe your other half might like it? …or even your dog?
The scarves are available in Next stores for £10.
You can find out more about Next’s campaign here.
