Beauty Wishlist: Holiday Glam

Beauty Wishlist

One brilliant thing about Christmas coming to the shops are the ‘holiday specials’.
Beauty products aren’t left out either, with gift sets and new products galore.
I know some people dislike the hundreds of travel size make-up and skincare sets.
I love them though as it means I can try out new items at a usually bargain price.
Of course I also love being able to indulge in full size products too, especially palettes.
I made a very glamorous wish list of some of the items I hope to pick up this Christmas.
I suppose if I’m lucky enough I may even get some in my stocking – if I’m a good girl that is.
What do I really really want?
The other products in my list are just bonuses compared to the two above.
I need a new pair of GHDs and the jewel collection is gorgeous (and useful)!
Earl Grey & Cucumber are two amazing scents and these are lovely together.
I also love Jo Malone fragrances and I actually wear them most days.
Any of the products in my list would be lovely to add to my ever growing beauty collection.
I longingly browsed the Selfridges beauty department to find these for myself.

Wish List: John Lewis Winter Luxe Edit

John Lewis Wishlist
John Lewis carries pretty much all of my favourite brands.
Mulberry, check. Avène, check. Whistles, check. Kurt Geiger, check.
The list goes on and on, but I won’t bore you with that right now…promise.
Instead I’m sharing some of my favourite pieces with you, in a special Winter wishlist.
That way all you have to do is look at pretty things and click on a link, if you want them that is.
John Lewish recently released ‘The Winter Luxe Edit’.
What’s that? Well it’s basically their own wish fashion list.
They’ve chosen some of their best brands, designers and pieces on offer for Winter.
It’s all very cosy, glamorous, and also a little bit sexy – I’m looking at you Alice Temperley.
I choose the Somerset by Alice Temperley Oversized Cashmere Jumper as the focus of my wishlist.
I really enjoy building outfits around one key item, and thereby creating something amazing.
Of course I couldn’t resist adding a few pieces of Mulberry to the list, you have to, don’t you?
My new dream bag is the Mulberry Suffolk. I’d like to say a girl can dream, but, well, you know.
Matching my accessories and boots to the bag might seem a little over the top, but I love a focus point.
All in all I think this is a pretty amazing wish list for Winter – if only I could wait for Christmas!
Why not browse the John Lewis website and create your own wishlist?
You can view the prices and where to buy all of these items here.

The Perfect Birthday Wish List

Birthday Wishlist

My Birthday Wishlist

It’s my birthday on the 29th, so I decided it was time to choose all the ridiculously extravagant items I want.
So what is on my ‘perfect birthday’ wishlist?

Every birthday girl needs a cake and I’d pick mine up from Ladurèe.
Then I’d need a birthday outfit. I’d stay fashionable with a Lazy Oaf bodycon, and warm with a Topshop cropped jumper. I’d then apply my new D&G 90s brown lipstick and pop it into my pastel purple satchel for later. Accessories would include a Michael Kors watch (of course), with Tatty Devine ring & earrings and some funky nail wraps. After a long day of wining, dining and partying with the loveliest of people, I’d relax at home with an Earl Grey scented candle, whilst I listened to my favourite music on my new Macbook Air.

Wow, and you thought I didn’t have an imagination!
Don’t worry though, I’m not taking it too seriously. I just decided to create a perfectly wishful wishlist.
I’m always very grateful whatever I happen to receive, but it’s always fun to dream, and dream I shall.

How would you spend your perfect birthday?

Styling in the New Year

NY

Hat: Topshop, Sweater: Oasap*, Skirt: Topshop, Boots: Asos, Bangle: Oasap* Earrings: Regal Rose, Badge: Oasap*, Nail Polish: Barry M & Maxfactor

I don’t particularly like to do year round up posts as I don’t celebrate New Year in the proper sense.
However 2012 did see my fashion loves and hates change, as well as my own personal style.
It probably wasn’t as drastic as I imagine but it did see me write my first ‘style evolution’ post.
I guess that means it was big enough for me to notice, and maybe you guys did too.

As for the end of 2012, well that saw me going back to more simple, smart casual outfits.
That was mainly due to my new job, and it did see me leave my love of urban style behind slightly.
Even so, I still tried to mix it into my outfits whilst staying warm for Winter and unique in my own way.

I’ve had an amazing year and I’m excited to start 2013 in style!!
I hope to get back to more regular OOTD posts as well as introducing more style related items to the blog.

Don’t forget to visit Oasap and use discount code: ‘bloomzy’ for 35% off!

A Christmas Wish List

Christmas Wishlist

Long sleeve velvet dress, $62 / Velvet skirt / Topshop , $48 / Studded ballet flat, $35 / MICHAEL Michael Kors leather tote bag, $270 /
Christmas is coming, and you know what that means.
Yep, it’s time for another ‘Christmas Wishlist’ post, sorry guys.
I wasn’t actually thinking of doing one this year but then a friend and the fiancé specifically asked for one, so…I guess you could say that I’m leaning more towards accessories and clothing right now.
There’s the odd bit of homeware thrown in but what surprised me most was the lack of beauty products.
Honestly I couldn’t think of anything beauty related that I REALLY wanted, so I just didn’t bother with it.
Right now I’m just after lots of velvet clothing (and shoes!) and some amazing accents to go with.

The usual offenders are there: Topshop, Marc Jacobs, Regal Rose and Tatty Devine.
I know the MK bag is a bit of a long shot, but hey this is a wish list, and a girl’s allowed to dream.

Style: 1 Skirt 4 Ways

As soon as I pick up a potential clothing purchase I automatically start contemplating outfits.
A few days ago I bought a new waterfall skirt (it sounds dreamier than dip-hem), and that’s what I did.
It’s no wonder I’m such a fan of things like Polyvore and putting together coordinates in photoshop.
Therefore today’s post is a little bit of fun for me and hopefully helpful to a few people also.
I put together 4 separate outfits, all using the same skirt as the central piece.
My style varies a lot between trends and fashion ‘labels’ and I think that’s reflected here.
I managed to add a few Baroque pieces, and the outfits range from casual to slightly more formal.
I also wanted to think a little bit about accessories, make-up and nails – as I know I dress those to match.
I think the outfits themselves though are pretty self-explanatory so I won’t ramble on too much.
The skirt featured is from Topshop, and the items included are from various other High Street stores.
Please comment if you’d like to know where any of the items are from.
‘1 ___ 4 Ways’ is something I’d like to continue with.
