OOTD: Givenchy-Inspired part deux

(Dress: Sheinside, Tights: ALTA Shinjuku, Wedges: Internacionale, Necklace: Oasap)

Here is the second, and final (for now!) part of my Givenchy-Inspired pieces (part one here).
This dress is from the amazing Sheinside who carry a selection of on-trend and designer inspired pieces.
I wore this out yesterday just for a casual coffee-shopping afternoon, and then stopping for a meal in the evening.
I can’t express how much I love this dress. I felt so effortlessly cool and on-trend whilst wearing it.
I also love how the print of the dress makes enough of a statement that I didn’t need to over accessorize.
Even so I did add a bold necklace (from Oasap) and some patterned tights because I felt I could still carry them off. I wish I could just sit around in this dress all day – it’s one of the rare pieces in my wardrobe that just makes me smile whenever I look at it. So expect to see more of it in the future!
You can shop for the dress and browse Sheinside here.
Don’t forget to visit Oasap and use discount code: ‘bloomzy’ for 35% off!

Inspiration: Elli-Rose

Model and DJ Elli-Rose

Elli-Rose is a half English, half Japanese model, who works primarily in Japan.
She models for a Japanese magazine called Vivi magazine, as well as other publications.
Recently she did a shoot for the British magazine iD for the Chanel, Tokyo issue.
She also DJs in her spare time and is known on the international circuit as Van Cliffe D.
So why do I love her?
I love her carefree, fun approach to modelling and her own personal style.
I also love her outlook on fashion. She says it’s very much like her music taste – varied.
She’s a big lover of vintage fashion, and mixing various styles together.
That spoke to me, as I love experimenting and wearing whatever I like. I don’t have one style.
She interacts with her fans through her Twitter and Instagram, and is incredibly sweet.
She’s even tweeted me a few times, and follows me. I think it’s nice that she is so personal.
You can watch the video she did for H&M Life here – it’s in English.

Current Inspiration

Please excuse the mess that is me piling a bunch of photos together.
I just wanted to visualise some of my current inspirations, which are:
Girly mixed with boyish, patterned tights, flowers, bright colours, gradients, feminine lingerie,
monochrome, black on black, gold, pearls and studs, polka dots, orange & white,
stiletto nails, comfy t-shirts, petals, purple, brightly coloured food and pastels.
As you can see my inspirations don’t just come from fashion or beauty. Of course when I say inspiration it doesn’t necessarily mean fashion-wise. I love surrounding myself with things that inspire me, and I think that does ultimately translate into my personal style, but it doesn’t mean that I don’t take inspiration for other aspects of my life.
These images are not mine, and were taken from my Tumblr, Style Saint & Pinterest.
Feel free to add me on any or all.

Wish List: H&M Fashion Against Aids Collection

H&M Fashion Against Aids Collection

This year H&M’s Fashion Against Aids Collection is back with a bang!
This time round inspiration comes from several continents (South America being the most prominent) and the tribal print trend, with some fringe and dip-dying thrown in just for fun. According to H&M “special prints were commissioned from international artists and illustrators for this collection to create pieces bursting with colour, pattern and authenticity.”

Once I saw the collection I automatically started putting together a wishlist.
I think my favourites have to be the fringe top & kimono jacket (pictured above).
I also love that 25% of all sales from the collection will go towards a variety of international youth HIV/AIDS awareness projects. More big name brands should also jump on the bandwagon!

The collection is released on the 26th April.
Check out more images of the items that will be available,
and the charities that will be helped with your money – here.

Photo Diary: What do you want to see?

Jizo statues at a temple in Tokyo, Japan

If you’re a regular to my blog, you will know that I often post ‘photo diaries’.
These are just a small collection of photos from my travels, or events that I have attended etc.
I plan to continue with my Japan & Paris photo diaries as I have plenty more photos to post.
However I thought it might make a change if I did a couple of ‘personal’ photo diary entries.

Leave a comment with something you would like to see a photo of from my daily life.
e.g. My favourite item of clothing, the view from my window, a funny sign etc.

Wish List: Wandering Minds

Wandering Minds is a new webstore set up by a group of friends.
The items in the store have been hand-picked by the girls themselves, who have flown to
some amazing fashion capitals, such as Seoul, Tokyo, and Paris.
In fact, they travel all year long, finding new emerging designers.
I think you can tell why this store called out to me.
Fashion + Travel = ♥

The items from their new ‘Seoul Collection‘ feature some wonderful basics that would suit most styles.
As you probably guessed, these items are from Korean designers. The girls chose these as they loved the simple, but effortlessly fashionable looks they saw on the streets of Seoul. I personally, want their job!!
To me, the looks are reminiscent of American Apparel, Topshop and some of the stores on Gmarket.
I definitely want to add all of the above items to my wardrobe!
You can shop the collections here.

Wish List: Topshop & Regal Rose

Topshop 2

Regal Rose
Regal Rose by bloomzy featuring green jewelry

Just a couple of Wishlists, this time from specific stores; Topshop & Regal Rose
I think the Topshop wishlist proves that I do like colours other than black, I just need to take the plunge and actually add them to my wardrobe. Maybe this Summer will be different!
I definitely can’t live without the bralets & studded sweater. I think I’ll have to make a trip to Manchester next month to check out the Topshop there as the one here didn’t have any of them.

The Regal Rose pieces are items I’ve been lusting after for a while.
I love their store, and I know I would get good wear out of their jewellery.
I haven’t ordered from them before, and their prices aren’t bad, I just worry about quality.
That said I’ve only heard good things about them, so maybe I should just go for it.

If you have Polyvore, you can find me here.
