New Shoes: Liberty & Vans Collaboration

Liberty of London x Vans Collaboration – Exclusive to Office

As soon as I saw the Liberty collaboration with Vans I was in love.
The prints were perfect and true to Liberty, and didn’t make the sneakers too serious.
In fact I think Vans choose the prints amazingly well as I’ve had my eye on 3 pairs for a while now.
For me they’re the exact mix of style, femininity and casual – three things I always consider.
I like to mix typically girly items with casual ‘boyish’ ones, so these are perfect.
A couple of days ago I finally decided on Liberty Leaves Pink.
I won’t take all the credit though as the fiancé bought me these as a gift.
I think they’re probably the first pair of shoes that he has wanted to steal for himself.
And incase you were wondering, yes these are unisex – they’re sized for both men and women.
I think that’s pretty cool. Vans are really good at doing this with the majority of their shoes.
Who says that men can’t wear pink floral print or that women can’t wear camo print etc?
If you can work it, wear it…and if you can’t, it’s all good as long as you’re happy!
You can purchase these at Office online for £54.99, or on the high street.

Review: Chanel Rouge Allure Lipstick 104 Passion

Chanel Rouge Allure Lipstick in 104 Passion

Every now and then I treat myself to a high end red lipstick.
I wear red lipstick literally everyday so it’s important that I have a good one.
Chanel is currently my go-to high end brand for red lipstick, and has been for a while.
The service is always impeccable, and not so surprisingly they really do know their stuff.
I always go back to Chanel for quality lipsticks that will stand the test of time!
So I decided to add Chanel’s Rouge Allure 104 Passion to my collection.
Pros:
+ Highly pigmented
+ Long lasting wear
+ Good coverage
+ Moisturising

Cons:
– Slight smudging

Notes:
I loved the pop of colour this lipstick gave. The red is very true to what you see in the tube and you don’t really need much at all to get good coverage. The lipstick itself has a slight shine to it as it’s moisturising but as my lips tend to dry out when I wear lipstick this is what I wanted. It’s not glossy though, so don’t worry! Without a lip coat this did transfer, however it didn’t come off entirely. I would suggest using something like Lipcote so that it stays and won’t transfer to your coffee cup or partner’s lips. Overall a great lipstick, and as always, I was impressed.
You can purchase Chanel Rouge Allure #104 at Chanel counters.
Or you can purchase it online at Debenhams.

OOTD: Sky Blue

Sweater* – Oasap | Leggings – Select | Necklace – Primark | Watch* – French Connection

Wow, would you believe it, an outside outfit shot! I haven’t done one of these for a while, purely because I got too attached to my white wall. Anyway I think it makes a nice change and I wanted to match my sweater to the glorious sky. A little bit of sunshine can’t do any harm, right?
I know it isn’t Autumn yet but this sweater is pretty light. I think it will be worn quite a bit as the weather starts to change. I love the gradient on the sweater, but boy was it hard to choose which colour. It was almost impossible to choose between this royal blue one, the lilac and pastel green. I think I may just have to order the other two…or would that be overindulging? Probably. Still, this one pairs well with light and dark colours so I think I choose well.

Challenge: 7 Days 7 Different Outfits

Who here finds it difficult not to recycle items of clothing during the week?
I often find myself desperately washing an item in the middle of the week just so I can wear it again.
Maybe it’s because I have favourites, or maybe it’s because I’m lazy and it’s just easier for me that way? Either way I want to get out of the habit of falling back on wearing the same item a few times a week. “So how am you going to remedy this?” I hear you ask. Well I’m going to set myself a little challenge.
I am going to challenge myself to wear 7 different outfits in 7 days. Yes, for one whole week I will be unable to recycle an item of clothing. Of course things like shoes, tights and accessories aren’t included as that would be unfair. I shall be doing mine via my blog and Instagram, as both are good at keeping me motivated. I will update here at the end of my 7 consecutive days, but I may do a mid-week post if I can. It’s going to be difficult, but it’s also going to be a lot of fun along the way!
I also want YOU to get involved! You can take part via your blog, Instagram or Twitter.
If you fancy taking part too, leave a link to your blog etc in the comments below.
Also remember to use the #7days7ootd hashtag on Twitter/Instagram so we can all stay connected.

Video: Goodies from Japan

A week or so ago I received a special package from Japan.

It was from one of my best friends Renka, and she sent me some amazing stuff.

I was so excited to open it and share it with everyone that I decided to make a video!

Check it out here, or on my Youtube account.

Don’t forget to watch it in 720HD for the best quality.

Photo Diary: Cream Cakes & A Dog Show

Last weekend I went home to spend some time with my family.
As about 99% of my close family have dogs we decided to head to the county dog show.
I hadn’t been to one before but was excited to be around so many cute pups and to test out my new camera.
It was a glorious day so I dressed up and donned my sunglasses and my new obsession…a head scarf!
Of course we also had to stop for tea, as we’re oh so typically English.
I met plenty of adorable dogs and couldn’t stop snapping away, so here are a few of my favourites.
Oddly enough I didn’t actually take many photos of my own dog at the show – I know I’m a terrible owner.
The little black cockapoo belongs to my Uncle though, and the bulldog to my cousin.
The rest are just doggies I couldn’t resist taking a snap of.

OOTD: A Catch Up

Here’s another catch-up from my Instagram, for those who don’t follow me on there. I have been taking more outfits shots on there lately for various reasons and I wanted to share them. I’ve been trying my best to incorporate more colour into my outfits, as you all know I do love to wear black. I especially love monochrome, as you can spot in some of the photos, but hey, at least it’s not black on black. So you’ll spot a touch of colour here and there, whether it’s a full on dress or shirt, or maybe a scarf or pendant. It’s difficult getting myself out of such a bad habit but I think I’ve been doing pretty well as of late.
