Anyone and everyone, from Western fashion to Gal, is working the pleats.
Skirts; worn high-waisted or on the hip, ankle-skimming or knee-baring are the biggest hit, with pleated trousers coming a close second.
Seen on the runway but found on the high-street, this is one trend you do not want to miss out on this season.

I have blue-grey eyes, so the effect may differ on those with darker eyes.
The Princess Mimi (also known as Bambi) Series is pretty popular right now, mainly due to Tsubasa Masuwaka who is the spokesmodel for the lenses. They offer an enlarging effect for dolly-like eyes in blend-able and bright colours.
Shoppingholics were very kind and packaged the lenses in cute and safe packaging. They also included a couple of free gifts and a kind note – so sweet!

Now onto the lenses…
These pictures were all taken mid-afternoon in Autumn, with lighting aid…

Make-up: Lashes & eyeliner on top, eyeshadow on bottom
Look:
I already have the green pair of lenses from this series and I love them, so I wasn’t expecting anything less from these. I thought the enlarging effect was great and the colour blended well with my own but they just didn’t ‘pop’ as much as the green.
Feel:
These were extremely comfortable!! I wore them on a night out and didn’t have to put drops in once.
If it is your first time wearing lenses, take it slowly and wear them for only a few hours each day so your eyes will get used to them. I wouldn’t suggest wearing your lenses for too long unless you know it will be ok, and if they get dry just pop some contact lens-friendly eye solution in – never use water!

Thoughts:
I like the effect and look of these lenses, the feel is also an added bonus. I would certainly think of wearing these on a regular day as they’re not too in-your-face and would work well with most styles.

☆Twin Code☆

I think a lot of you know already of my love for twin codes – why be jealous/mad that your friend has the same dress, skirt etc. Just have fun and work it!

You may also remember that Tori and I did a twin code back in 2010. Well we’re back with something new for 2011, this time with a Star Print theme!

My Code
Star print dress & red belt

Blazer
New favourite wedges!

Jade Earrings & Necklace

Accessories & Nails
Tori’s Code

ASOS Star-print dress

Floppy hat
Oxfords & Slouchy socks

I was so pleased with how similar our prints were.  Tori had mentioned it, but I never thought they would be so alike. This girl is so effortlessly beautiful and I always enjoy doing twin codes together. I love the simplicity & elegance that Tori created with her look – teach me your ways!

Discuss: Easy Eyelash Fix?!

Kiss is a beauty product company whose products can be found in stores in America and Europe.

So what is there to discuss? Well they have recently released their ‘Ever Easy Lashes with String‘ in the UK (they’ve been out in the US since February)wait, false lashes with strings?!

The strings act as an applicator, making it easier to get them in the right position. Once you have applied the lashes and they’re stuck in place you can simply pull out the string – remember to hold onto the lashes though.
It seems like a good idea for those who find false lash application difficult, or for beginners who might find it awkward. Even though I’m used to applying lashes and don’t find it difficult, I still really want to try these out. It looks so simple and quick! What do you think?

If I was a rich girl…

I would certainly be buying up a storm in Urban Outfitters. I’ve always been a fan of the store ever since my first visit to America. There are a few stores littered across the UK but I usually have to travel to visit one.

Photo Diary; 久しぶり University

I’ve been back at university for a month now and it’s been rather laid back, which may be down to only having 5 hours of lectures a week

So what have I been up to? Mainly catching up with people, meeting new ones, buying American Sweets from The Sugar Shack and classes founding the new ‘Tuesday Night Movie Club’I’m a bit of a movie geek at heart, and always jump at the chance to host.

Dinner with the fiancé – Tapas.
Cinema & Mexican food ♥

Hot, sunny days & warm, dark nights.
Finally organising my room, and making it more ‘me’.

A change of style…

Some of you may have noticed that yesterday I changed the look of the blog.
It’s been in the works for a few months, but now it is all finished and I’m so happy with the final result.

I have to give a big shout-out to the wonderful Callie who made me a new graphic. A friend of my sister who I have had the pleasure of knowing for quite a few years, she is so talented and incredibly sweet. I didn’t think she could beat the previous one she made (remember it?) but this is just amazing.
Does it look familiar? If you said yes, than aren’t you a smarty pants. Yes, she modeled it on my birthday purikura – the one I use for my profile picture.

If you like Callie’s work and are interested in your own personal graphic then she is currently taking commissions for only £5 (around $8)!! Leave her a note on her deviant art.
