OOTD: Paris Calling

(Sweater: Oasap*, Skirt: Topshop, Tights: Primark, Shoes: Internacionale)

I love my Sweaters, you all know that by now.
So please welcome the latest edition to my collection.
No it’s not a gawdy tourist sweater – although those can be classy when rocked by the right person.
It’s actually the latest item sent to me by Oasap. I picked it because it looked cozy, and reminded me of my ‘Céline’ tee.
Obviously that’s the point of this particular design, and I kind of love it for that…and because it’s so comfy.
I’ve been trying to add little pops of colour to my outfits, just here and there.
It’s difficult some days as I have to be up early, and snow + early mornings = lazy Emma.
I have been trying for a while to get out of the habit of black on black, so I don’t think I’ve done too bad here.
At least the sweater is grey, and hey! check out those burgundy tights.
At least I tried.
Don’t forget to visit Oasap and use discount code: ‘bloomzy’ for 35% off!

The Perfect Birthday Wish List

Birthday Wishlist

My Birthday Wishlist

It’s my birthday on the 29th, so I decided it was time to choose all the ridiculously extravagant items I want.
So what is on my ‘perfect birthday’ wishlist?

Every birthday girl needs a cake and I’d pick mine up from Ladurèe.
Then I’d need a birthday outfit. I’d stay fashionable with a Lazy Oaf bodycon, and warm with a Topshop cropped jumper. I’d then apply my new D&G 90s brown lipstick and pop it into my pastel purple satchel for later. Accessories would include a Michael Kors watch (of course), with Tatty Devine ring & earrings and some funky nail wraps. After a long day of wining, dining and partying with the loveliest of people, I’d relax at home with an Earl Grey scented candle, whilst I listened to my favourite music on my new Macbook Air.

Wow, and you thought I didn’t have an imagination!
Don’t worry though, I’m not taking it too seriously. I just decided to create a perfectly wishful wishlist.
I’m always very grateful whatever I happen to receive, but it’s always fun to dream, and dream I shall.

You can view the full set, and where to buy items here.
How would you spend your perfect birthday?

OOTD: Catch-up

OOTD shots from my Instagram: bloomzy

Lately I don’t have much time to take full on OOTD shots.
So when I do get the chance I try to post a few on my Instagram.
Unfortunately Instagram doesn’t give me as much freedom when taking photos.
That’s mainly due to size restrictions, lighting etc. but I try to make do with what I have.
In the end I think the photos always turn out ok, and it’s a nice way to share them with everyone.
Recently I’ve been keeping warm as it’s been super cold, and of course we’ve had snow.
I love the current ‘Typo T-shirt’ trend so I’ve been pulling out some of my fave pieces from my wardrobe.
I’ve also been making the most of the cold weather by wrapping up in mixed fabric jumpers and cosy cardigans.
My favourite jumper right now is from Whistles (bottom right).
My favourite t-shirt, Topshop (middle left).
Thank for all your feedback in my giveaway post.
It seems that you do love my OOTD posts, so I promise to keep that in mind!

Street Style: Tokyo

Street Style Snaps taken in Tokyo from Fashion Latte & Tokyo Fashion

As my blog started as a Japanese fashion blog all those years ago, I wanted to pay homage to that.
The amazing fashion seen on the streets of Tokyo is one of the main things I miss about my second home.
Even though in recent years it has been highly influenced by London and ‘Blogger Style’ it’s still very unique.
Models, Idols, Artists and Bloggers are born on the streets of Tokyo, whether it’s Harajuku, Shibuya or Shinjuku.
Fashion Latte is a website I found out about recently when a friend had her photo taken for them.
They are an international site who feature photos from Tokyo, New York, Paris and London.
However they are primarily a Japanese site, but navigating your way through the site isn’t too difficult.
Click on the black button that reads スナップ and then choose your location to view recent street styles.
As for Tokyo Fashion, well they’re quite a well known and established site already.
Entirely in English you can navigate your way through the various areas of Tokyo.
It’s wonderful for seeing the trends and styles that reign in one ward of the city to the next.
I took a couple of street snaps myself during my time in Tokyo, which you can view here.

Review: Colour Restore for Redheads

Colour restore for redheads uses concentrated red pigment infusions to keep colour.
Most of you will know how difficult red hair is to maintain, so this is a great product to have.
I recently became a redhead again, and even though my colour has maintained well I wanted a pick up.
So I was very thankful to receive this and try it out, and let me just say, I was very pleased with the results.
Colour restore can be used as a wash-in shampoo type product to keep your colour fresh, or for something a bit more vivid, you can leave it in for up to 25 mins. I needed to refresh my hair colour so I choose to leave it in for 25 minutes, on my first use.
Before and after

Pros:
+ 3 different ways to use
+ Vivid colour and great shine
+ Left my hair feeling conditioned
Cons:
– Stains skin easily, but can be removed
Notes:
This is such an amazing product for redheads who want to keep their colour.
It’s also a great money saver for those like me who have their hair dyed at a salon.
The only downside was that it did stain, but it was removed with water and another wash.
It was easy to use, and as only a tiny bit is needed the bottle can be used more than once.
It lasts for 12 months, so I plan to make the most of it and use it as often as needed.
For those who might be worried about using it often, it doesn’t contain any peroxide, harsh chemicals or ammonia.
There are also blonde, shine treatments, colour removers and strippers in the range.
You can view and purchase the whole range here.

Like, Totally Clueless!

Wildfox 2013 Spring Collection

I was just a youngster when Clueless was released into cinemas. However that didn’t stop the movie going on to become one of my all time favourites. It’s safe to say that Cher, Dionne and Tai were my fashion idols, and I aspired to be them. My personal style was very much influenced by them and in recent years I’ve often hoped for a comeback. Luckily for me, Wildfox just released the lookbook for their Spring 2013 collection – based on Clueless.

I’m not a fan of Wildfox, but I have to give them a thumbs up for how well they have done here. I would gladly add a few of the items to my wardrobe, however I fear the price will not be so charming. Favourites include Cher’s red dress, and yellow suit. Tai’s plaid shirt & boyfriend jeans, and floral workout crop top. As well as Dionne’s daisy dress & shirt combo – and yes that is America’s Next Top Model’s Fatima Siad.

Now I’m just waiting on a brand to bring out a lookbook inspired by The Craft.
