Wishlist: Roxie Sweetheart

A selection of items on my wishlist, from Roxie Sweetheart

Do you remember Roxie Sweetheart from my Hyper Japan post?
After visiting the stall at the event I couldn’t stop thinking about the brand.
Pastel, sparkles, unicorns, kittens and more…is it any wonder it was love at first sight?
The pieces are actually influenced by Tokyo street style, manga and artists such as Walt Disney & Junko Mizuno.
Even though my personal style has evolved, I still love pieces influenced by Japan & Tokyo street style.
It’s true, every now and then I like to accessorise with small pieces that add to my eclectic style.
I picked a small selection of items that I have been lusting over on the Roxie Sweetheart store.
I’m a sucker for anything pastel, especially things that put pastel and adorably cute animals together, hence the Kitten and Bambi brooches being on my list. I also love oversized statement pieces that will frame a blouse or t-shirt perfectly, so I’ve been checking out the Bird & Heart Locket Necklace, as well as the Lilac Chain Bracelet. I mentioned sparkles too didn’t I? Well that’s where the Crystalized Lip Rings come into play, for an added bit of ‘bling bling’. Last but certainly not least, I fell for the Kyary Hairbows. Why? Well they happen to go with a little suttin’ suttin’ that I purchased at Hyper Japan from Roxie Sweetheart – keep your eyes peeled for a blog post soon!
Why not browse Roxie Sweetheart yourself and make your own wishlist?
Or maybe indulge in a few pieces?

Photo Diary: Hyper Japan 2013

Here is the first post from Hyper Japan 2013.
This post is very photo heavy, so I’ve hidden it under a cut.

Japanese inspired nail art @ Sanagi Atelier – website

Angelic Pretty, Japanese cosmetics, wigs, toys, accessories and more @ Dreamy Bows – website
This stall was also run in conjunction with Tofu Cute – website
Handmade jewellery and accessories @ Roxie Sweetheart

This is just a small collection of photos I managed to take before my camera died.
I was impressed with the selection of Japanese fashion and cosmetic stalls on show this year.
Of course I love the culture and food sections equally, but I wanted to focus on the fashion/beauty.
I’ve placed a little info and credit under some of the photos, so you can shop online for yourselves.
Keep an eye out for a special Hyper Japan 2013 Youtube video coming soon!

If you went which was your favourite stall this year?

OOTD: Style It Like You Mean It

Maxi Dress – Gal Fit, Japan | Shirt – Internacionale | Bag* – Oasap | Necklace* – Oasap

First off I would like to apologise for the poor quality of these photos. I almost cried seeing the difference between these taken on my iPhone and ones taken on my camera. Unfortunately my camera broke at the weekend, due to a fault that apparently occurs in the Olympus E-PL1. It’s been a trusty camera but I’m sad to see it go, especially as it’s a stupid problem with the camera. Anyway, I’ll be using my iPhone in the meantime as I’ll need to save for a new camera.
I didn’t get a chance to take a proper photo of today’s outfit, so here is the next best thing. I know this is laid out more like a style post, but I think you can all see where I’m coming from. I found my maxi dress from Japan recently – the only one I’ve ever found for my height – amazing. The cross detail on the back of this dress was also a big reason why I bought it, it’s simple but chic. I also found this shirt I bought around a year or so ago from Internacionale and wore once, if that. Sometimes it’s quite satisfying to get some use out of old items you haven’t seen for a while. The bag and necklace are new items from Oasap though, so I’m mixing old with new.
Don’t forget to visit Oasap and use discount code: ‘bloomzy’ for 35% off!

Haul: Topshop & Primark

(Dress: Topshop, Necklace: Primark, Shoes: Primark)

Just a tiny haul post with some items I bought recently.
I needed a nice new Summer dress, some shoes to match and a bit of bling bling.
Well that is a lie because I already own the same necklace from Primark – this one is for my sister.
I genuinely love the jewellery Primark is releasing right now, from their regular & limited edition collections.
The majority of pieces are bold statement necklaces and earrings, and are perfect for pairing with tees etc.
I bought this necklace a couple of weeks ago for myself and I was tempted to buy another, in case I broke mine.
That probably seems a bit weird but I love this necklace to pieces…like I would literally wear it until it’s in pieces.
I know, I know, I have a serious problem when it comes to buying jewellery. I just can’t help it!
I haven’t posted a full on photo of the dress as you’ll find an outfit post featuring it on Saturday.
As for the shoes, they’re so simply chic and comfortable – the perfect pair of flats!

Photo Diary: OOTD Catch-up

In the last couple of weeks I’ve been having some fun with my outfits.
I was finally able to pop to my parent’s house and bring back my Summer wardrobe.
You know your country has a problem with weather when you store your seasonal clothing away.
Typically English whining aside, I loved being able to wear some dresses and show my legs off again.
I was also pretty ecstatic as I found my infamous ‘Purple Paris Trousers’ amongst my Summer clothes.
I love them to pieces but some people just don’t seem to be able to understand just how amazing they are.
So I intend to rep them on the blog as much as possible this Summer!
On the darker days I was able to shine with the help of accessories and my amazingly bright red hair.
I’ve been wearing a lot of accessories by Marc by Marc Jacobs, Tatty Devine and indie brands recently.
As gorgeous as they all are though, I don’t think anything is as good an accessory as my hair is right now.
Don’t worry I’m not becoming bigheaded, I’m just super happy (and pretty proud) of my hair for once.
Ever since I had it done at Bleach I’ve had people stopping me to tell me how much they love the colour.
It’s a silly little compliment but it boosts my confidence and makes me glad I went back to red.

Style: Wish List Outfits

When I am about to buy an item, 99% of the time I think of how I’ll style it.
I love putting together an outfit in my head so I decided to have a bit of fun on here.
I styled a couple of outfits out of a few pieces I have seen online and fallen in love with.
I think these two outfits perfectly sum up how eclectic my personal style is.
I love the femininity and pastel hues of outfit #1, but go back to my monochrome, rock roots with #2.
Another reason for posting these two outfits was to show you how I would style such different looks.
Which look is your favourite?
Most of the items featured come from Lashes of London, Topshop and ASOS.
