Wish List: H&M Fashion Against Aids Collection

H&M Fashion Against Aids Collection

This year H&M’s Fashion Against Aids Collection is back with a bang!
This time round inspiration comes from several continents (South America being the most prominent) and the tribal print trend, with some fringe and dip-dying thrown in just for fun. According to H&M “special prints were commissioned from international artists and illustrators for this collection to create pieces bursting with colour, pattern and authenticity.”

Once I saw the collection I automatically started putting together a wishlist.
I think my favourites have to be the fringe top & kimono jacket (pictured above).
I also love that 25% of all sales from the collection will go towards a variety of international youth HIV/AIDS awareness projects. More big name brands should also jump on the bandwagon!

The collection is released on the 26th April.

and the charities that will be helped with your money – here.

OOTD: Crystals & Leather

Top: Internacionale | Skirt: Miss Selfridge | Shoes: Urban Outfitters

Here is today’s outfit…well last nights. I don’t often post my ‘night’ outfits on here, so I thought it might make a change. I was just going for a meal with the fiancé so hopefully I didn’t look too OTT…or gothic, in all black.
AGAIN.
The shirt is a sheer material with gold & ‘crystal’ studs dotted all over it. Add my mini faux-leather skirt, deadly panther court shoes & Marc Jacobs bracelet, and you’re done! I even took a chance with the weather and went bare legged, for the first time in months. Very liberating! Altogether nothing too fancy, but not something I personally would put together for a casual day outfit.
What do you guys like to wear for a night out?

MUA x Alexandra Burke Lip Boom

Yesterday evening MUA finally let us all know what their latest product/collaboration was.
What’s funny is it tied in so perfectly with the post I made yesterday morning. Maybe I’m a little psychic, or maybe it’s just a big coincidence…not gonna lie, it’s probably the latter.

Say hello to MUA’s ‘Lip Boom’, a 4 in 1 Lipstick & Highlighting Gloss.
The product will come in 8 shades and will be released on 9th May, at only £3 each!
The packaging itself, which has been popping up all over Twitter & Instagram, claims that it will create fuller, more curvaceous lips. I’m all for fuller lips and I can’t wait to get my hands on it!
Alexandra Burke, for my non-UK readers, is a British singer.
I don’t know her personally, but she has always come across as a lovely, sweet person with an amazing sense of style, and flawless make-up. MUA picked a great person to collaborate with in my opinion.
I plan to buy quite a few of them and review them asap!
Will you guys be picking any up?

Review: MUA Lipstick & Maxfactor Gloss

Last month I reviewed a couple of MUA’s lipsticks and mentioned about trying them out with a gloss.
I decided to try them out with a couple of my favourite go-to glosses, by Maxfactor. These were given to me at Christmas, in a set, by a friend who works as a make-up artist for the brand – the full size versions are a lot bigger. I wanted to
mix up a cheaper brand & a more expensive one – to show you that you don’t always need to spend lots of money to achieve a lovely pout!
To achieve my look I used:
Final Results:
I absolutely adored the look of MUA Shade #16 & Maxfactor Bubbly (photo #3) – it gave me the perfect ‘baby lips’, which a lot of brands have been aiming for with their looks and products lately. The colour is a little more pink-coral in person (trust the iPhone) and it’s the perfect shade for Spring/Summer! I was also happy with MUA Shade #15 & Maxfactor Bubbly (photo #1) which I think created a nice nude look. It would suit a natural look or just something a bit simpler. As for MUA Shade #12 & Maxfactor Majeste (photo #2) – it created a lovely bold lip, for a more dramatic look.
You can purchase MUA’s Lipsticks here.
You can purchase Maxfactor’s Vibrant Curve Effect Glosses here.
I think Bubbly may have been discontinued, sorry.

Giveaway: Clippy London

Clippy London is a company created by the lovely Calypso Rose.
Her idea was to create a bag which she could personalise with her favourite polaroids. So she took her idea and set up a stall in Portobello market.  It started as a small personal idea, which grew into a celebrity following. Not only that, but her bags can be found in the UK, across Europe (they’re big in Paris) and even Japan!
The website and store allows you to customise your own bag with polaroids, magazine covers…basically anything you can fit in the space given! I personally love the idea of the Magazine cover bag! They also offer stationary, wash bags and the new ‘lunch bags’ which keep your lunch cool, whilst looking like a regular stylish handbag – they know what girls want!
Visit Clippy London here.
(Use code: BLOOM15 for free shipping – ends 30/04)
Onto the Giveaway:
I have a Luxe Gold Purse, and a ‘Kit-Bit’ to give away to one lucky winner!
All you have to do is be a follower!

Photo Diary: What do you want to see?

Jizo statues at a temple in Tokyo, Japan

If you’re a regular to my blog, you will know that I often post ‘photo diaries’.
These are just a small collection of photos from my travels, or events that I have attended etc.
I plan to continue with my Japan & Paris photo diaries as I have plenty more photos to post.
However I thought it might make a change if I did a couple of ‘personal’ photo diary entries.

Leave a comment with something you would like to see a photo of from my daily life.
e.g. My favourite item of clothing, the view from my window, a funny sign etc.

Photo Diary: London

Lilli Vanilli Bakery, M&M Store, Bubbleology, Cheap Monday, Monki, Absolute Vintage & Tatty Devine

Just a few snaps I took on my recent visit to London.
Before I had to move away for University I used to visit London quite often, as I live close enough, so I don’t really do the tourist-y things. I do however like to visit lots of shops and cafes! Apart from spending time with my lovely gals whilst I was there, I did visit the new Monki store and Cheap Monday as I haven’t been back since they opened. I also re-visited my favourite Tatty Devine store and plenty of vintage stores.
For lovers of Match/Green Tea, Bubbleology in Soho has Matcha bubble tea. We stopped by and I had to grab one!
The guy who was working was a bit odd, and didn’t really have the best customer service skills to be honest, but the bubble tea was lovely.
I apologise for the lack of photos.
I was taking them off my phone very early this morning (couldn’t sleep) and ended up deleting some by accident, in my half-awake state. Farewell pictures of delicious cakes and food, you shall be sorely missed.
