Blogger Barcelona Competition!

Recreating the shock and excitement from last night.
Convincing, no?
I have some amazing news!
Recently I entered a competition with EasyJet to win a getaway to Barcelona.
I had to write a small piece saying how I would structure a blog post and what I would do on my trip.
Well the 10 finalists were chosen and I made it into the final 10!
You can check us all out and our entries here.
Out of the 10 people chosen only 5 can go on to win the getaway.
So I need you to vote for me.
PRETTY PLEASE!
How do you vote for me?
If you have a Twitter account, please tweet @easyjet along with my username (@blooomzy) and the hashtag #eJBlogger

Here is an example tweet that you could use:
“I am voting for @blooomzy in the @easyJet #eJblogger trip to Barcelona http://bit.ly/zG0ZGe”
(Please note that retweets will not be counted)
There are only 48 hours to vote, so please vote asap!

VOTING HAS ENDED!
Thank you to all who voted!!

It’s my birthday on Sunday, so the lovely people at The Body Shop sent me a voucher to spend in-store, as I am a member of their loyalty card scheme. 10% off in-store and online, special offers through email and then a special gift on your birthday month. Amazing!

Anyway, the subject of this post; I shall be away from the blog this weekend as it is my birthday on Sunday, so I plan to relax and enjoy my time with friends and the fiancé. I shall be back next week, no doubt with pictures and tales of my weekend.

Where can you find me?

For all my new followers & readers;
Hello, Welcome and Thank you!
Now that all the formalities are out of the way, if you’re a social kinda person and fancy joining me somewhere else other than here, then you’re in luck.
For the full list, check out my contact page, but for the main ones:

(Twitter, Facebook, Tumblr, Formsping)

I use these ones more often than others, hence why they’ve been mentioned.
Hope to see you there!

Weekend Hiatus

Just taking a short hiatus, for this weekend only.
As you probably guessed, it’s work/university related.
With it being the end of term all the work is piling in, and I have a rather large essay on the European Union that needs to be handed in next week, so for now it’s Au Revoir~

See you next week!

A change of style…

Some of you may have noticed that yesterday I changed the look of the blog.
It’s been in the works for a few months, but now it is all finished and I’m so happy with the final result.

I have to give a big shout-out to the wonderful Callie who made me a new graphic. A friend of my sister who I have had the pleasure of knowing for quite a few years, she is so talented and incredibly sweet. I didn’t think she could beat the previous one she made (remember it?) but this is just amazing.
Does it look familiar? If you said yes, than aren’t you a smarty pants. Yes, she modeled it on my birthday purikura – the one I use for my profile picture.

If you like Callie’s work and are interested in your own personal graphic then she is currently taking commissions for only £5 (around $8)!! Leave her a note on her deviant art.

Au Revoir~

picture not related but very yummy

Sorry for being absent for so long, it’s been almost a week – shocking~
I spent my weekend mainly visiting art museums and eating in fancy restaurants, which was a lovely way to spend my last weekend in Paris
I only have 4 days left here and although I love it, I am looking forward to being back in England

I have classes until Saturday and then I have a ‘farewell picnic’ with my teachers/classmates before I head home in the evening. I’ll also be spending my evenings going out with friends etc. so I am afraid you may have to wait a little longer for any substantial posts from me. ごめん!

I also installed a flag counter on the sidebar today. It’s super fresh though, so it looks a little bare right now but lets hope that it fills up soon! I love finding out where my readers are visiting from

Don’t forget that you can also keep updated with me on my Facebook, Twitter etc  and in the mean time…

What kind of posts do you want to see more of?

♥My 7 Links Project♥

The wonderful Caroline ofSpooning with a Schoolboynominated me for the My 7 Links Project – her post is here.

The point of the project is to unite bloggers (from all sectors) in a joint endeavor to share lessons learned and create a bank of long but not forgotten blog posts that deserve to see the light of day again.”
So away we go~

My Most Beautiful Post

Kamakura is such a lovely place to visit for the day, so the memories (not only the scenery) of Kamakura are really beautiful to me.

My Most Popular Post

My 2nd ever post! I translated a quiz from an issue of Ageha which determines your eye type and what kind of make-up would suit it, along with a tutorial. I never expected this to be so popular, especially as it had so few comments.
My Most Controversial Post
This post was from a CNN-GO article that was based on a rather controversial topic – dressing children like adults. The journalist’s lack of knowledge and poor writing style aside, it raised quite a few questions and discussions.

My Most Helpful Post
This is also one of my most popular posts and I think one of my most helpful too. I wanted to review Japanese hair dyes (specifically ones aimed at gals) as I know lots of Western gals may want to try them at some point but they don’t know how they will turn out.
A Post Whose Success Surprised Me

At the beginning of this year I felt the need to express my opinions on gal and where I stand with it. I was so happy to see that I wasn’t alone in my thoughts and that so many people offered me their kindness and advice. Thank you all!!

A Post I Feel Didn’t Get The Attention It Deserved

This was only a small series with 2 posts on former EGG models (Hiromi and Natsumi) and where they are today. I was hoping for a positive response to these as I wanted to go further with them but they weren’t as popular as I had hoped.

The Post I’m Most Proud Of

Once again I’m being a bit cheeky and picking a series rather than an individual post, but I have to mention this as I was so proud of the reactions and feedback I got on these. I really wanted to help bring a positive vibe to the Western gal community. I’m actually thinking of carrying this on (when I get some spare time) but with a new look. What do you guys think?
